I would like to see it but I don't believe it , then again it is an interesting fight and maybe while AJ waiting for Fury vs Wilder to be done this would be a high profile fight that is as long as Wilder doesn't fight AJ next. I would think Usyk would want to get acclimated to heavyweight fighting a lesser talent first but who knows..??

Could happen, get him out of the way before he settles at HW, I imagine him and his team would want to dip their toes in to the division first though

I believe that it would be foolhardy on Team Usyk’s part both economically and physically.

Love to see it though.

That's exactly why I believe it.
Usky with 2 'growing' fights is way more dangerous than coming straight up. Makes perfect sense for AJ to take him now.

No, I don't. It looks like, Joshua has almost done the deal to fight Whyte-Chisora winner, while Usyk and his team were talking about a couple of tune up fights.

Yes because it's an easy sell and safe for Joshua. No 200 pound man is beating Wilder, Joshua or Fury. Adamek was just as good as this man and failed. Haye was just as good and failed. Alot of people will be suckered into buying the fight as legitimate, will do tremendous business, but I'm seeing a Biggs/Tyson kind of scenario playing out here.

adamek wasnt as good at all imo, much more vulnerable even at lhw and cw

and remember usyk did shuout joyce and the 3x world shw am champ during his world series of boxing days. he wont beat the big 3 but he can be top 5-6 i think

Adamek was nowhere close to Usyk who is already at least #2 ATG at CW. Wilder couldn't really land on a huge Fury. Why can anybody be sure that he or Joshua would land on Usyk? Of course Usyk wouldn't get a decision in UK against Joshua or in US against Wilder.

Not likely.

Usyk will want a few fights against heavyweights. That's guaranteed.

And Hearn will want to build up Usyk further in the UK before making a Joshua bout.

There are still plenty disbelievers who feel that Usyk is far too small to be tangling with Joshua.

It's Hearns job to convince the naysayers that they're wrong, and turn a big fight into a mega-bout.

That can only be done by showcasing Usyk in at least 2 fights against name heavies.

April is at least 8 months to a year too early.

It’s not even down to Hearn. He said it’s Team Usyk’s Decision which direction they want to go. They will tell Hearn. He’ll make it happen and just promote the event. That’s kinda his role with Usyk. He has little say. So I doubt Usyk will want to fight a 250 pound Joshua just yet.

If Usyk and his team want it it's certainly possible. Would be a hell of a gutsy risk for Team Usyk to take for his first foray in the Heavyweight division, but he hasn't wasted any time going for the big scalps so far so it wouldn't be all that shocking considering that.
