Deontays constant moaning....

He's let himself down a bit with his reaction to the draw imo. It seems to be non-stop excuses and whining from him. It's making it look like he knows he lost that fight. Fury took it on the Chin (literally lol), wished everyone well and started singing American pie. I can't help but wonder if soon we will get a "he only got a draw because he was white..." type of narrative from wilder. Which I don't like to say, but the guy obv thinks the whole world has it in for him.

Officially Wilder didn't lose and is still champ, so he has no reason to make excuses, that fact he feels he has to speaks volumes.

The majority of the boxing world does have “it in for him.”

Only FMJ had a larger horde of haters in recent years.

Thats irrelevant, personally I have no gripe with Wilder. I've watched it four times now and even giving Wilder the benefit of the doubt in the close rounds I still had him losing. Thats why he is making excuses, deep down he knows he lost too.

Who exactly? Al haymon, Shelly finkel and Lou dibella basically ARE the boxing establishment. Showtime back him.... the judges certainly didn't have it in for him..... I'm struggling to see it myself. Other fighters would kill for those sort of vendetta's. Also, no one can ever clearly define to me what exactly a "hater" is. It's just an expression people use when they can't debate constructively.

In the realm of boxers excuses, his are pretty minor. He said it was a close fight. No fighter in history wearing his shoes wouldn't have thought they won.

Great point. Broner as well off the top of my head.

If the tables were turned and Wilder was knocked down twice but had won pretty much every other round do you honestly think he would say he lost or drew it? No of course not, Quite rightly he would point to all the rounds he won and argue he won the fight on points.

I have no problem with him thinking he won at all. it's just all the excuses about losing weight after the weigh in, the broken arm, the biase ref etc. Like he's effort alone wasn't enough (which it wasn't)

Being disliked is better than not being known I guess.

I love that Fury has now attracted more casuals. I said all along away from boxing and certain influences, he always seemed a genuinely nice bloke.

Yeah, par for the course. Spend a few minutes with Ross Thompson if you want some real excuses. To be fair to those annoyed, I never pay attention to post fight comments from fighters.

Even Mike Tyson still argues that Douglas got a long count and he shouldn't have lost.

No fighter in history , being either guy, would think they lost. It was that kind of fight.

For very good reasons. To his credit, he has redeemed himself. I am a fan, once again.

I did not say that having legions of haters was a bad thing. Look what it did for FMJ.

Wilder is far more popular than he has ever been, mainly based on hater love. :OhYes:

Ive not been reading too much of his excuses tbh. I'd rather focus on what was a great comeback and performance from Fury who has shown more dignity in getting robbed than Wilder has in getting a favour! If he wants to make excuses that's his prerogative but it's just making him look a bit daft IMO.

He looked like he thought he'd lost when the bout ended. Very subdued.

He may well have just been in shock that fury got up. I don't know why he'd think he lost, virtually nothing happened in over half the rounds.

There IS that narrative floating about among American black fighters. Particularly the Mayweather Boxing Gym. It's disgusting. They just can't handle the fact a white guy beat a black champions ass. There is rampant "black supremacy" in sports.

Exactly, total contrast to Fury, who was certain he's get the decision.

There is also the narrative that there are a sh!tload of people running around butthurt because they literally willed themselves into seeing what they were hoping for the other night.

It goes both ways.

"Willed themselves into seeing something that wasn't there"..... So 96% of boxing fans, fighters, trainers, promoters, managers, etc are all victims of wishful thinking? That they imagined Fury won?

You lost all credibility.
