This is my first thread on this site, so I think this is where I'm supposed to post stuff like this. I wanted to do a few tournaments for the different boxers throughout history; to see what people thought of the greatest of all time. The first tournament will be the tiny group(strawweight to super bantamweight). Here is a list of the boxers and their records; I want a tournament of 16, so I'm gonna leave a list for you guys to vote on. There are more than 10, so wont be a poll. Vote for four people of your choice from the list below please, and after a week I'll make a tournament of the top 16!

Just so you guys know, I switched Salvador Sanchez with Benny Lynch. Salvador would be a Featherweight at his prime, so I think Benny Lynch would be a better fighter here.

Really hard to pick just four. Guess I will go with Eder Jofre, Jimmy Wilde, George Dixon, and Wilfredo Gomez.
I think Salvador Sanchez should not belong in this group because he really was higher than 122.

You want us to pick 4 more from the list (100-122) you already posted?
Or do mean that you are going to pick another weight range and we would pick four that?

Oogiebe I replaced Salvador Sanchez with Benny Lynch because Salvador was more of of Featherweight through his career. You still have one more pick then.

Thanks for the list of boxers!! I have added four to the twelve you guys gave me to make give us sixteen contenders.
Bracket A:
Edre Jofre vs Panama Al-Brown, Carlos zarate vs Ruben Olivares, Pascual Perez vs George Dixon, Jimmy Wilde vs fighting Harada.
Bracket B:
Wilfredo Gomez vs Michael Carbajal, Pancho Villa vs Terry Mcgovern, Ricardo Lopez vs Khaosai Galaxy, and Humberto Ganzalez vs Manuel Ortiz
The first fight will be Edre Jofre vs Panama Al-Brown. I'll post the round in a few days from now. Also, do you guys want me to post the fights in this subject or make a new subject for each fight?

Unless we are just matching them up on who'd win pound for pound? Lopez-Galaxy is another one like that where Galaxy never went lower than 115, Lopez never went higher than 108.

Yes, I clarification is needed. Are we talking about who would win an actual fight or who was better pound for pound between 2 guys?

Okay firstly, I'm sorry for the confusion. I'm kinda using this as an experiment going forward on what to do for tournaments similar to this one. To clarify, the tournament is meant to see who is better overall, so P4P is of course a major factor. The idea is to see who you guys think is the best P4P, it should be mentioned that Ricardo Lopez and Michael Cabajanal were on P4P lists, which is why I included them on the list of boxers I presented. If you guys would like to revote based on this new information, we can? Otherwise I'll go ahead with the Jofre vs Al-Brown fight. Thanks for everyone being patient!

Sorry for the wait! I thought it would be best after the holidays to do the tournament.
Post who you think wins the match by your name followed by a coma, and then the boxer you want to win the match up. For example, godosin, Saul alvarez.

In the Red Corner:
Eder "The Golden Bantam" Jofre (72/2/4) 50 of those wins by KO
Titles: World Bantam Weight Champion (seven defenses), WBC Feather World Champion (zero defenses)
Wins: Johnny Caldwell, Katsutoshi Aoki, Johnny Jamito, Bernardo Caraballo, Jose Legra
Lose: Fighting Harada
In the Blue Corner:
Panama "Kid Theophio" Al-Brown (129/19/13) 59 of those wins by KO
Titles: Two time World Bantam Weight Champion(eight defenses)
Wins: Gregorio Vidal, Eugene Huat, Pete Sanstol, Kid Francis, Domenico Bernasconi, Baltasar Sangchili
Loses: Battling Battalino, Speedy Dado, Newsboy Brown, Vittorio Tamagnini, Gustave Hammery, Freddie Miller, Baltasar Sangchili
