Wilder's next fight?

Given the fall out since the fight and the interest in fighting him from both British fighters, where does Deontay turn next?

Could we have a poll asking how many more polls and threads about Fury/Wilder we can have about:- who they will fight next, who should they fight next, who won, who lost, who is making excuses, how great they are, how bad they are, how AJ is scared, how AJ is not scared, did someone bruise a finger, who should be ranked where.

I actually think we do not have enough ways to debate the same thing here.....

Sorry. I didn't see any similar polls on the page. Surely it's a valid question given the WBC decision?

Not reading the post not an option if you're not interested I guess?

Joshua is considered by many as a top guy out there. So there's more logic in him facing the 2nd best guy to determine an inarguable leader of the division. That's why Fury is more logical option, than Wilder. The value of fighting Deontay is only in the fact, that Wilder remained a belt-holder. But we all know, how he remained a belt-holder. Suddenly Wilder has something new to prove, that's not the question of being the best HW, it's the question of being WBC champion for the reason. Wilder should fight Fury again. The majority saw him losing the recent fight, there's only one way to prove people wrong or at least to lose the belt like a man, other than retain it like a protected dosser. So the options for Wilder are narrowed. He must face The Gypsy King again, unless Fury takes some other option, which isn't likely, except the single case - fighting Joshua.

WBC ordered an immediate rematch.

Ideally Wilder would fight Joshua next, and then the winner fight Fury straight afterwards.

Sounds like it’ll be Wilder-Fury 2 though.

Sanctioned isn’t ordered - to me that reads they are OK with rematch but he can do something else.

That's how I understand it too. Basically giving Wilder another option other than unification (Joshua) or mandatory (Breazeale?).

I think Wilder might go for Joshua - that fight would earn him a bigger payday and I reckon the Fury rematch would still be on the table even if he lost. However, if he fought Fury again and lost then there's every chance Joshua's team would have no interest in making a fight with a massive puncher with no belts.
