Im thinking of going to the US to watch a fight, most prob in december, has anyone been to a vegas doo?? what were the costings like from the uk?? any tips or help would be gratefuly received!!

I went for DLH-Hopkins but booked with Benz Travel, they are okay but expensive...they sort the flights, hotel and tickets out though so it was less hassle. Depends if you dont mind making your own arrangements cause then you can get it for a hell of a lot cheaper.

I arranged my own trip. Flew with STA travel for about 290 quid, I had a press pass arranged that wasn't an expense.

the MGM grand is 99 dollars a night, a lot of others are cheaper, and if you go to extendedstay.com there are some other mini-apartments which you can get for 140 quid a week!

Just think, we wont need to go to Vegas soon. They're going to be building big casinos in the UK in next few years.

It does seem like things are cracking along at quite a pace. They are going to redevelop wembley, the MGM grand are building a massive complex there, fornicating A!

Imagine how different Thompson v Haye would have been had it been in that environment.

Sports City Manchester, Millenium Dome, SEC Centre, Olympia, there's going to be fornicating loads of the bastards.

Won't be for another 2 years or more, but i cannot fornicating wait!

4 days ain't long enough, not with the 13 hour flight there, you'll be fucked when you arrive.

Reckon you're better off having at least a week, i was there 3 days, and it wasn't long enough.

Well, ok I did have a raging hangover when I flew in, and the day I flew out.

Im going for the Morales Barrera 3 fight in November.

Its best to go with one other person or keep it in pairs, it will lower room costs.

I am staying in the Mirage, getting there on the Friday and leaving on the Monday to finish the week off in L.A. the Mirage is costing $541 dollers which split between two for the room is about £140 each, we bought $300 seats for the fight. as for the actual flight im not sure about cost since its got multiple destinations, not just Vegas.

And you never know your luck, I went to Vegas for a wedding earlier in the year and did well in the Casinos, I more or less broke even when I came back with money, after buying 2 new watches and some trainers

If you want fly direct it is going to cost you 550 quid from London (on Virgin) or about 400 quid from Manchester (fotgotten which airline).

When there it can be amazingly cheap (if you like that sort of thing) or the most expensive place on Earth. I normally stay at the Hard Rock (although I have stayed at most of the main ones by now), as it is a good young hip crowd (mainly funloving 25-35 year old Californians), although for Morales v Barrera III I am trying out the Palms. Rooms are cheap Sun-Wednesday and go up drastically for each of Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

It is the most incredible place and a great place to meet people (Loynesy remembers his single days with a hint of wistfulness). If anyone want specific info, feel free to PM me - having been there a dozen times I know the place reasonably well.

Bellagio's is one of the more expensive hotels too.

I tell you where else is meant to be good, a friend of mine from Arizona always stays there, is the Best Western Tuscany Suites hotel. Off the strip, but you get a mini-apartment, and it's only a block away.

You can fly Virgin with STA travel, I flew Virgin into LA for under 300, as I said with 1 stopover it's 360 right now.

I was on holiday in the US 4 years ago and spent a weekend in Vegas. The Ayala-Tapia re-match was on at the MGM and I got $25 tickets the day before - simply went into the MGM and strolled up to an events ticket counter there.

I stopped in the Tropicana, that is not too badly priced as they go.

Former Danny Williams sparmate Scott Murray is arranging a trip from the Midlands. He's got about 20 going so far. Flights and four nights at the Mandalay Bay is around £600 (based on two sharing - but the rooms are massive).
