Yea Sosa's no world-beater but he's at least a legit contender and not some anonymous Costa Rican who never beat anyone halfway decent, ever.

Cuellar, Rakhimov, Quigg, Roman, any of these guys would be fine.

If it can be make in February or sooner i dont mind seeing this man against Lomachenko. Should be a fun match

Farmer will eventually face legit challengers, but his lack of amateur career (12-4) means he is still learning on the job. As a rookie pro he Farmer only won 2 of his first 5 pro bouts vs mediocre opposition. Eddie Hearn will put him in against tougher comp as he continues to develop. The hype from the TV commentators does get annoying though!!

He's had 3 fights in 4 months. Activity catches a lot of shit in modern boxing. I'd obviously like to see a better opponent but I'm not going to complain yet.

Maybe that's why he fights poo. He may not have the confidence (or his handlers don't) to fight any top competition.

Farmer has nice wins over decent guys, but he has not faced elite yet. He is champion, he should do that

Nah, if he fights 6 times in a year and has 2 quality opponents that is perfectly fine.

He's fought three times in 2018 (twice in 2017) against less than stellar opposition, to Jam's point.

i agree, im fine with 10 cans a year if there are also 2 solid opponents that year

but really for several years now i dont really see any quality opponents and it looks like next was going to be carrol or frenois

That's fine OTO, however this guy is supposed to be IBF SFW Champion. So Jam's point is well taken and the last several years, he hasn't fought anyone really decent. In fact several unranked fighters are on the list. That's all. Farmer isn't worth this much attention.

Impossible to score from all the back and forth, but instinctually I'd give it to Farmer by a couple of rds, not the wider hometown decision. Fonseco would've had him out but for lacking power and vice versa, so I hope for more barnburners and solid purses from them and congrats.

You deserve bonuses.

I think they're just building him up for a future match with Gervonta Davis. All of Davis' opponents were nobodies as well. So why not give him someone that will have low chance of winning but with more decent resume. Farmer suits that description.

Personally I'd much rather wait 6 months for a real opponent than have a "champ" defending his belt against a new cab driver every few weeks.
