Agreed. I'm hoping busy and better competition for 2019. He's yet to fill out as well, so could be a 255 LB'er before long.

According to the latest statements from his people they're going to slow his progress down a bit by keeping him fighting in six rounders for a while against modest opposition. Which is evidenced by their booking him against a mediocre 4-3 clubfighter by the name of Santino Turnbow this weekend. Something that I really don't understand because he's already shown that he can beat live bodies like Rodney Hernandez early on in his career. I feel like they should continue to build him up against decent opposition who he'll learn from & gain experience against rather than just fattening his record up against no-hopers.

Yeah, his managment shows no signs of the will to step up. But in the today's conditions it's time. His Olympic rivals are going upwards more convincingly, except Dychko though. For the moment Ajagba is probably known the most for a one of his tomato can opponents walked off the ring with the first bell.

He's just 24 years old he has time to fight the contenders. But a slight step up with each fight for the next couple of years is only logical. He has potential to be a true top fighter

At 6'5" and 88" reach, that's exactly how I'd want him to fight. Use his length. Sub-Charles Martin is just off the board...seriously.

I can see arguments for both sides, that he’s overhyped or that he’s a potential thorn in the side for heavyweight contenders in the years to come.

Need to see him fight a proper journeyman to take him the distance.

Being that he's only 24, I imagine 2019 will be a busy year, but doubtful Efe goes against a real battle tested journeyman until 2020. Maybe late 2019.

Anyone know if Ajagba's fight is being televised?

I really hope so but given the level of his opposition tonight, I expect a highlight of the KO at most.

not sure hes really risen since turning pro, has been no real move up yet, hes obviously a good prospect though

He'll continue to develop in 2019 and probably first make a move in 2020. Fun to watch. (except the Turnbow fight)

Embarrassing that Nigeria has a population of 190 million yet have only had 2 world champions ever!

Almost every single Nigerian prospect that was hyped turned out to be a bum, I expect this guy to be the same.

They've had contenders and some good ones. This kid could end that if he's as good as I believe he'll be. 2020.

Dychko is a bit older, 29. He needs to speed up the competition if he's going to make some noise. He's huge and if handled properly can get into the mix late this year.
