Mayweather: “In Boxing Career, I Never Touched The Canvas Once“

As previously reported, Floyd Mayweather is promising entertainment when he fights Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in three rounds of exhibition boxing on New Year's Eve, but not necessarily a knockout.
"If it happens, it happens," Mayweather said Saturday when asked whether he was going to knock out Nasukawa.

But Mayweather was adamant that his opponent wasn't going to knock him out or down on Monday.

"Throughout my years at boxing, I never touched the canvas once," Mayweather, 41, told reporters at a Tokyo hotel, brushing off the upcoming event as "just another day."

"I can do three rounds in my sleep," he added.

Touched against Judah, that wasn't counted.

Lol is right. He smashed that dude with a hook and broke his hand. He took a knee from the pain. Not even a glancing blow.

His glove touched when he reacted from the pain of a broken hand, not exactly the same as being knocked down, but it was officially a knockdown I think.

I just rewatched it. Floyd’s glove touched the canvas after hurting his hand. His opponent didn’t even land a punch.

I’m a little surprised about the ref’s reaction, because it’s abundantly clear that a punch didn’t cause the knockdown.

Even the most passionate die-hard members of the anti-Floyd brigade would admit to this.

So he literally ‘touched the canvas’ with his glove then.
