The Night the Raging Bull fell

I only learned over Christmas about Danny Nardico, the man who dropped and stopped Jake LaMotta, over Christmas when I belatedly picked up a book sent to me some time ago. Nardico was a quite a man too, he won Purple Hearts in the Battle of Okinawa in WW2.
Thanks to inspiration from Nick Parkinson's excellent little book 'Boxing - On this Day', where I found this little nugget, and I'd recommend the book, I've spent a few happy hours trawling around the fight and the characters within it.
I wrote some words about it too. Such a great boxing tale. And all on a New Year's Eve.
