A fight between the pair, Boxing Scene understands, will take place on February 23 at the Olympia in Kensington, London, will likely be broadcast on ITV as part of the three-year deal it has just signed with Haymon Sports and Premier Boxing Champions.

Poxon Sports, the exclusive promoter of all UK PBC events on ITV, will be the name on the poster for the show, it is understood.

You can stick a fork in DeGale cos he's done, and Eubank Jnr just isn't very good.... Mad that this fights PPV..

Jnr should take it though as DeGale is just f*cked at this point

Not overly fond of either fighter, but Eubank JR has more left in the tank as I see it.

Nothing said AT THE MOMENT about it being PPV yet. Although late last year it was kinda mentioned. I guess they’lol just mention it when it’s official.

Does this fight do more buys Groves vs. CEJ?

I would love to know how many buys that does definately got to be ITV’s most successful PPV.

Really not looking forward to seeing James DeGale leaning against those ropes taking uppercuts (which will happen)
DeGale has achieved some fantastic things in his career, amateur and pro.

But he’s taken some unnecessary punishment in his last few fights (this one included)
People advising him should be ashamed that they are throwing him into the flames for a few extra quid (for a man who already lives comfortably thanks to his original Al Haymon deal)

Bullshit fight that I will watch through my fingers.
Prove me wrong James. Win this and retire with your marbles in-tact.

Great fight for Eubank Jr on the other-hand.
The chance to get a defining win, impress doing so and walk into another PPV fight.

DeGale has "One more fight" syndrome I fear. Nice Post. :TU:

DeGale isn't going to be able to keep Eubank off him and as another poster has mentioned he'll be stuck on the ropes taking flurries of punches until the ref dives in and stops it,great opportunity for Eubank to get a big name on his record.

Good fight if it’s on regular ITV.
Sh!t fight if it’s PPV.

It would attract a lot of viewers if it was regular ITV. Even ITV4.. no one would need to stream.

I think JDG has kind of underachieved as April. Olympic Gold medal winner.. ever since he won the IBF belt, every fight has been a tough one for him. He’s made them more tough than they needed to be.

Eubank Jr is like Truax on meth. No way can the sheer volume of Eubank's punches be weathered and have DeGale coming up with a points win.

I agree. DeGale should have won this, but not today.

This will potentially be the same date as the FW BT show in Leicester (Bowen v Clark, Yarde etc.). I wonder if he’ll be kicking off about this one.

Degale has the ability to beat Eubank easily, similar to how Groves beat him. He's also the bigger man.

But I agree, it doesn't look like Degale has a big performance in him now. Might be like Warrington v Selby

I'm kinda surprised it'll be at the Olympia in London (same place Eubank-Quinlan took place)..

I don't really like DeGale that much.

But I think I'd rather he win this than Eubank Jr.

Eubank Jr seems to think he's an actual boxer. Don't want him to give him any more ammo to fuel his delusion.

DeGale has said he may retire after this bout.. He just basically wants to earn a £1m purse.. and retire.. He won't care if he wins or loses then.

It's a shame as he had so much potentially. Look back 2 years and if he stayed on his feet he would've beaten Jack which would've been a huge win

Eubank will beat him and the fact that Groves beat Eubank will eat away at DeGale for a long time.

He was still fvucked after that bout tho, regardless had he won. If only he didn't get dropped.

Yeah true but he showed he had the potentially to mix it at the top ability wise
