Cos he looks fucked to me! Clearly wanted the big money fight. Desire seems to be on the wane as does his talents. Always been a huge fan, and i'm in the minority that believes his less than stellar cv is as more to do with bad timing and bad luck than his willingness to fight the best.

He needs a legacy fight thats going to get the blood pumping again. Danny garcia at welter? Winnable fight against a big name. Dont much fancy his chances at lmw, think even beefy smith would wear him down at this stage. Never rated garcia that high at welter. Porter would be too much at this stage.

He should take the first big fight that comes his way, if he waits for Khan he will end up doing a Junior Witter!

Hearn said Hurd vs. Brook was mostly depending on what Khan does. Well that seems to be decided.

They might take up Harrison’s offer, but Jermell says there will be a rematch within 4 months.

That was mostly due to Hurd being a slow starter.

Take the biggest pay day available then call it a day.

I was talking about brook being hurt not hurd.
I thought brook looked almost out of there, just didnt look like he had the fight he used to.

I’m a big Brook fan, from the first time I saw him pre his British title win I thought he looked genuinely world class, a nice smooth, composed style and an excellent judge of distance. Has all the shots, especially a rapier like jab and clearly cracks hard - he looked elite level to me.
His time with Hearn what’s been a bit hit and miss. IMP Hearn moves him really well up until his superb win over Porter in the US. From then on though it’s been a bit of a damp squib. Shite defences at 147 then a genuinely stupid fight vs GGG a stone higher than he’d been campaigning against an absolute monster - the only way that was a half sensible option was if it was a retirement fight.

Now he looks done, bit of a wasted talent. From the outside looking in he just doesn’t look capable of making 147 anymore and there are a couple of big lads at 154 in the lad who beat Smith and Hurd who would just over power him, especially going on the last 11 rounds of his last performance.

He needs to forget about Khan though, if it happens great but it’s been losing its appeal for a while now. If can legitimately make 147 Garcia would be a good fight and a win would likely get him a major fight. If he’s stuck at 154 Harrison would be the best option but it’s not looking overly likely. Either way he can’t waste anymore time with anymore bullshit fights. It’s time to get in with top 5 guys or retire

Brook should’ve stepped on the gas a long time ago instead of messing about, say what you want about Khan but he won’t have many regrets about his career when it’s over.

It's a shame Brook is now scratching about still trying to get a fight with the idle Amir Khan a good 4 years after the fight was relevant.

Brook had all the aces; he had a world title trinket; he was unbeaten and Khan was lying idle whilst seemingly trying to be a C list celebrity.

A few appalling defences; a bizarre fight choice and a couple of horrendous injuries later and he is now looking done at the highest level, then Khan finally remembers that he is actually a professional boxer after all.

Brook is in a weird place because he's not ready for retirement, but I don't see him winning a trinket at 154 and Khan is still not interested.

Nothing at all. People mention the likes of Matt Hatton and Carson Jones along with the Porter win but they were never world level. Also, Porter is much better now than he was then.

He was guaranteed £3m for GGG, with upside of PPV revenue as part of his contract with Sky. The PPV drew around 500k buys.. I believe he made £3.7m total.

Against Spence he was guaranteed £3m.. that PPV didn’t do as good as the GGG fight.

To think when he challenged Porter, he made $200k.. he probably made a bit more than that with his UK TV rights.

At the top level he’s finished. He’s made more than enough money to be financially secure for the rest of his life. Those facial injuries he picked up will be his Achilles heel.
He needs/wants the biggest payday with the lowest risk- mind you, what boxer doesn’t??

The money for Brook was only with Khan.
I doubt he will get £1 million for Hurd because Hurd isn't huge to start with and Brook is the B side challenger.
