Despite several boxing sites claiming little-known American Priest Smalls had replaced Samuel Kebede as Scott Harrison's WBO title challenger next week in Glasgow, Kebede is still in according to SN.

Good, I don't mind this match at all - an undefeated African fighter can be very tricky.

You haveto favour Scott, but as I am trailing in the prediction league I might just go for the upset.

Yeah, read in the paper today (or was it yesterday? :-? ) Peter Harrison saying all the talk of Priest Smalls was odd and that the Kebede fight was never off according to Scott and him. :o

Alex Arthur was on the TV as well today. They never said anything interesting though, just the usual recycled drivel about how he's 'looking forward to get back' etc. Arthur also said he was expecting to look crap because of his long layoff in the Daily Record.

Incidentally, is Kebede a southpaw?

Just read this after searching google for info on Kebede:

Samuel Kebede, Featherweight: Kebede trains in Stockholm and is tied to Modern Sports & Events. He hits hard and sports an quite unusual boxing style that his opponents has big troubles to deal with. Perhaps one of Sweden's biggest hopes in the lighter divisions. Has yet to be beaten and took his 18th straight pro victory in mid November. He can credit himself with 10 knockouts.

Also read this from a Danish site:

Sparring haven“t been too good but trainer Leif Carlsson have brought in everyone possible in the Stockholm region to help his fighter reach top shape.

Couldn't find any info on the southpaw bit. I'd still be interested to know if that French fighter Harrison drew with was a southpaw, and pm'ed a promoter called Christel (sp?) about it, but never got a response. This keep-busy fight might be interesting after all... Maybe.

I just checked the Parlogea fight (the clip is 20 mins), Kebede is orthodox.
