Tickets are now on sale for the £100,000 Showdown between PDC World Champion Phil Taylor and his BDO counterpart Andy Fordham.

The two giants of the game will face-off in a live Sky Sports Pay Per View clash at the Circus Tavern, Purfleet on Sunday November 21.

And you could be there to see the thrilling suspense, drama and action live - but only if you move quickly!

With an exciting undercard to be confirmed, it promises to be one of the greatest nights in darts history.
EXCITING MATCH, ALTHOUGH TAYLOR LOOKED RUBBISH THE OTHER NIGHT, SURELY SKY WONT BE MAKING THIS MATCH PPV!! WHO'D BUY IT??

It is PPV - £10

On the 'undercard' are Eric Bristow v John Lowe.

Also, the tickets for Circus Tavern sold out within hours so it seems there is plenty of interest.

Don't think I'd buy it though.

I'd prefer to watch Taylor v Painter again in all honesty.

PPV for darts though is down right greedy, I hope it flops.

I love my darts - play for my local - but I'll be fucked if I'm shelling out to watch a darts game on the telly. I've been to the World Matchplay, and it's great being there live and getting pissed, but paying a tenner on top of my Sky Sports subscription to watch a darts game in my front room? Not on your nelly. I suspect a lot of pubs will have it on anyway.

Won't even a faded Taylor thrash him?

I doubt Taylor is faded. The other guy took 6 legs off him in a short game, so he lost. Over any reasonable distance I reckon Fordham gets a shoeing.

I wasn't saying Taylor was faded as such, just that if he was he'd still have too much for the mammoth of the oche.

Do they have Darts forums?

And if so do players get Hattonesque stick for avoiding the big guns?

As much as I like Barneveld, I reckon Taylor would give Barney a shoeing too, 8 times out of 10. Barney is capable of murderous darts on occasions, but Taylor is capable of murderous darts on an almost daily basis. You never know, Taylor might be slipping, but 6 legs against a qulifier who's under no pressure is not enough to tell, and he's still the best in the world (and probably the best ever) right now.

Darts on PPV?! Who the flip is gonna pay for this :o I like my Darts but no chance i am paying to watch it...SKY are just downright greedy.

I fornicating despise pay-per-view. PPV windsurfing and fishing next, then? fornicate off Sky. If things don't improve by next year I'm getting rid of it, hardly watch it anyway.

I’ve never quite understood the organisation of darts.

Fordham is that fat bastard right who won at the “World Darts Championship” in Frimley Green (which is always on TV each year)

So who is Phil Taylor and how is he also a “world champion”? I’ve never seen him at Frimley Green??

Which of the two championships is the higher quality? The one Taylor is involved in??

It's a bit like boxing. Different organisations, different champions. I can't really say which has the best players, but the PDC's Phil Taylor is THE greatest

Ahhh right cheers.

Its just that they have the Lakeside one on the BBC each year with Barneveld, Fordham, Hankey etc ...and then I hear of some chap called Taylor and was just cuious as to who/which organisation was better.

I figured one was the "WBC" and one the "WBU" so to speak...

Isn't the one in which Bristow still plays regarded as the best?

Taylor won the Embassy twice then moved to the PDC (along with the rest of the world's top 20)

Taylor played Barney a few years back and crushed him so badly.. was funny.
Taylor isn't the same player he used to be. Used to look invincible but has become 'human' over the past few years.

The PDC v BDO, going by Averages then the BDO wins in general.

Used to play darts for my local for 4 years and for my county :TU: saves having to buy drinks  just win them instead :TU:

Bristow doesn't play no more. Not professionally anyway

Ialways thought it was the other way around. The current double-in, double-out fromat has scewed the averages, but the like of Baxter, Lloyd, Manley, Mardell, Warriner etc all regularly average in the 90s. I don't wacth much BDO/WDF stuff other than the Lakeside, but I thought only Barney was at that level? Could well be wrong, but I've always looked at the BDO/WDF as the lower division. I certainly can't see Fordham winning much in the PDC.

Both organisations are pretty even, but Taylor gives the Sky one the edge imo.

It is quite comparable to the IBF when it first began. They took the best heavyweight boxer at the time, but the WBA/WBC had the tradition.

I would call them even, although Taylor's lot are the better players, you cannot call the likes of Burnett (now with the PDC), Fordham, Wallace etc paper champions, because they win the title with the heritage.

So its good when these unification clashes happen, but it shouldn't be on PPV.

PDC averages only tend to be in the 90's nearer the final.
a number of first round matches in the BDO have 90+ averages.

The good thing about the BDO is that the gap between the ability of all he players is, less than in the PDC.

BDO events anyone can win because they are all solid players averaging in the 90's . Only a few players in the PDC are capable of winning since Taylor in general is too far ahead so is less competitive

I'm not really interested in watching Taylor beat up on Fordham. Winning the Lakeside was nice, but he's nowhere near the best player in the BDO

taylor and barneveld had one of these matches 5 yrs ago and taylor beat him 20-11 or something like that. :TU:

taylor over a long match is very hard to beat cos he's so consistent. i fancy taylor to beat fordham comfortably.

I thought it was even worse than that, 9-1 or something
