Rau'shee Warren vs Nordine Oubaali

For the vacant WBC Bantamweight title on the Pacquiao/Broner card this weekend, Warren aiming to become a 2 weight world champ against the unbeaten Oubaali, i'd never heard of Oubaali until this fight got made but I seen Frampton mention him the other day and I'm sure I read these 2 have already fought in the ams, I know Warren was a 3 time US Olympian so if he was sharing the ring with Oubaali I'm assuming Oubaali was a decent amateur himself?

Warren's only fought twice since the losing his World Super Flyweight title against Zhakiyanov, I thought Warren edged that fight by a point but had no qualms with the result, one of Warren's wins since that night is against McJoe Arroyo which is a good win

Hard to make a prediction without seeing Oubaali but ive never been really sold on Warren, he's got skills but can be lazy, spoils too much, he's still set in that amateur style and doesn't look strong and he's vulnerable too, wouldn't be surprised if Oubaali outpoints him

Interested to see how Oubaali gets on in his first bout outside France, Warren is a 4/1 outsider with the bookies which seems a little long considering his superior world level experience at Bantamweight. Hoping for a good clash of southpaws.

Just checked, Oubaali's first pro fight was in Morocco with the rest in France, my mistake.

I mentioned in the OP that Warren aiming to become a 2 weight champ, I meant 2 time, for some reason i thought he was a champ at Super Fly

Oubaali wins a UD to become WBC Bantamweight champ, close fight I thought, I had Warren winning 116-112 but everyone else seems to agree Oubaali deserved it, wasn't a great fight, a lot of pick em rounds, Warren is elusive but was still lazy especially in the second half, Oubaali was the better man down the stretch he outhustled Warren, I thought Warren was the quicker sharper guy in the exchanges, got the first and last word in most of the trade offs

that was defo an oubaali win, i thought comfortable too, like 8 or 9 rounds for him, dont be fooled by warren having a bit of flash to him

Warren started well, then faded out to Oubaali's power punches. I had the latter up of 2 points, at the end

Oubaali will have to face the Monster's lil brother in his first defense... That could be very interesting. Warren, like Broner, just never does enough. He gave ZZ the title when they fought, thinking he'd already win after the first round. Proper idiot of a fighter

Pretty much what trainer told him between rounds,....’I’ve had it with you, you don’t want it as much as he does, I’m not going to train you anymore...’.
