Which active fighter has defeated the most A+ opponents ?

What do you think ?
BTW, I am sure that majority or current champions ("champions") have never faced any A+ opponent.

Probably Manny Pacquiao, mainly due to longevity.

There are not that many genuine A+ fighters around and the ones that exist don't lose to often, but Manny has been champion in 8 divisions and had been around forever.

I dislike these ambiguous report card gradings. Pretty sure the meaning is going to vary from person-to-person.

However, the answer to the question is Manny Pacquiao, and that cannot vary.

It's quite a report card ID you count champions:
Chatchai Sasakul KO8; Medgoen Singsurat TKO3; Lehlo Ledwaba KO6; Agapito Sanchez Tech. Draw 6; Jorge Eliecer Julio TKO2; Marco Antonio Barrera TKO11, UD12; Juan Manuel Marquez D12, SD12, MD12, KO by 6; Erik Morales L12, TKO10, KO3; Oscar Larios UD12; David Diaz TKO9; Oscar De La Hoya RTD8; Ricky Hatton KO2; Miguel Cotto TKO12; Joshua Clottey UD12; Antonio Margarito UD12; Shane Mosley UD12; Timothy Bradley L12, UD12, UD12; Brandon Rios UD12; Chris Algieri UD12; Floyd Mayweather L12; Jessie Vargas UD12; Jeff Horn L12
And I suppose we can add Broner UD12

Only a handful are A+: Lara, Trout, Cotto, Golovkin (x1), and Jacobs (if he wins).

For the question, it's Roman Gonzalez (if you don't count Pacquiao): Cuadras, Sor Rungvisai (arguable x1) Arroyo, Viloria, Yaegashi, Rodriguez Jr., Estrada, Niida, and Takayama. You could argue the first Sor Rungvisai fight if you'd like since it was razor close and could've gone either way.

Johsua: Povetkin, Klitschko, Parker, and Whyte.

Usyk: Briedis, Gassiev, Glowacki, Bellew, Hunter, Mchunu, and Huck.

Lomachenko: Rigondeaux, Walters, Linares, and Russell Jr.

Very hard to pick out A+. I think A+ as a p4p fighter, but I'll be lenient and just say anyone that can stay a top 10 fighter for a long duration.

There probably aren't too many A + fighters on the planet.

That's a grade that should be reserved for dead certain HOF fighters. Not just top contenders or fly-by-night alphabet champions.

I think what the topic reveals is that Manny and Floyd were the last of the old guard which included the guys that they sent into retirement. Canelo is probably at the front of the new generation because he fought Mosley, Cotto, Mayweather (L), and Khan from that generation. With that said, he didn't really beat Golovkin did he with fights that could have gone either way, is why I would hesitate to point to him.

Right now, he is only B+ level, but he has two wins against A+ rivals.

Amir Khan (Judah and Maidana).......

Can't think of Judah as A+ or even close. Maybe Maidana A level.

OK, we don't agree.....
Again, I think both of them were the top level.

Judah did give us all that great site of him dancing on spaghetti legs trying to argue with the ref that Tszyu didn't really knock him down. Priceless!

I am not sure, but I think he had been the undisputed WW champion. Is this enough to be considered A+ level ?

The Tszyu fight was for Tszyu's SLW WBA/WBC belts and Judah's IBF if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't put Tszyu at A+ level, if that is what you are referring to. Cory Spinks was at WW.

Of course Tszyu was A+, Judah was A right when he beat Spinks, and Maidana reached A-.

I hate to do this, but I found out on Google - Yes, Zab Judah had been an undisputed WW champion (2005).

Agreed. But it was after a couple of losses, including Spinks in their first fight. He won undisputed WW vs Spinks in the rematch, if memory serves. It's cool, I just don't think Judah is an "A+" fighter, and perhaps not even an "A" lister.

I admit it is extremely difficult to set up the criteria about A+ fighters, but, honestly, every undisputed champion since 2000 should be recognised as a top level fighter. For example, the competition at LWW several years ago was not so hot (maybe decent/very decent, nothing more) but Crawford had become the champion. For me, this is the end of story.
