Is it just me or does this guy do anyone elses head in? Listening to talk sport last night and it was like he was the only one in studio that knows how good Josh Taylor is,like the others in the studio didnt have a clue about boxing. I used to quite like listening to what he has to say but the past 12 months or so he just grates on me.

Not a fan at all.

Whenever I see him he’s barging into IFL interviews without an invitation.

One of these hacks who has been around the sport a while and still lacks basic understanding while having a big ego

Absolute helmet. Actually thinks he is a character so acts up to what he thinks is entertaining. That stupid shite kicking shite on IFL with Froch was a total cringe fest.

I don't mind him. He seems to have the sports best interests at heart, and the fighters seem to like him. He seems to be able to laugh at himself. If I had to pick between Gareth and 2019 bunce, I'd choose Gareth.

Each to their own, but the fact he is a less of twat than another person, especially Bunce, is hardly a ringing endorsement

I can't believe he writes for The Ring - although that shows where The Ring is at these days. I don't like listening to him as he comes across as very lightweight (no pun.) It's beginning to feel like he wants to be a character in the sport rather than a serious journalist.
I remember him being on Talksport on the Monday before Joshua's fight with Parker to talk about the fight. Danny Murphy asked him who was boxing on the undercard. He said he couldn't remember and didn't have his notes with him. The conversation continued for a few moments and then he suddenly blurted out Joe Cordina would be boxing.

Sounds like he's qualified for a gig at Sky then.

Such weird timing as I was literally listening to the podcast on the drive home tonight, having only stumbled across it three weeks ago, and both presenters test my patience in all honesty.
Davies I feel is more an opportunist as he'd gone all out to position himself as the MMA guy, but given that hasn't got traction in the UK as anticipated, he's switched back to focusing on boxing as well. I was cringing when he started talking about Dillian Whyte and did a faux Jamaican accent when talking about 'Jah'
As for the other fella, Adam Catterall, he just comes across as trying too hard to be a bit of a lad and matey with the boxers being interviewed. Way too lightweight for my tastes.

Haha. I'm just teasing anyway. Why the bloody hell would you shave your head if you've got hair though. Was your hero Grant Mitchell growing up or something?

Completely agree. He offers zero insight yet thinks he really knows his stuff. Borderline delusional. Genuinely have to switch off if he comes on the radio.

That story does surprise me at all. He's simply someone who loves to be seen with boxers and hopes a bit of their shine will rub off on him.

Buncey on the other hand, love or hate him, is absolutely passionate about the sport and highly knowledgeable too.

For sure, but such a gaffawing, blustering buffoon.

He is a hardcore fan with a lot of years put in to have depth of knowledge. 50% of this forum know as much and could do that job as well imo

In fairness to Bunce I'd like to see how others would fancy doing a single handed live show.
Our Gareth however could be embarrassed by 95% of the forum.

But talking about Bunce, did Big Dave ever find Bricks, Supremo and Boxing Knockout?

Agree totally about Catterall, adds nothing to the conversation aside from needless banter

A pompous, foppish oaf of the highest order.
Makes me cringe when I see him asking hackneyed, predictable and painfully safe questions at press conferences.

Apart from that I`m indifferent... :TU:
