Roney Hines, who had a decent amateur career winning national golden gloves titles, turned pro last year and is currently 3-0 with an upcoming bout vs Sherman Artis Jr.
Hines eerily reminds me of Deontay Wilder (build wise), but from the southpaw stance. He's 6'6" and last fight weighed in at a "twiggy" 223 LBS. He moves well in the ring and shows a decent jab. He seems to have some power, but it's really too early to tell.
He's certainly not a prospect yet, but what I call a prospect/suspect and worthy of my personal watch list.
This is his debut fight.

Thanks for the video, amigo!!
Hines is a legit prospect but the clown he fought in the video was clearly looking for an easy paycheck and looked he checked out early.
Roney's next bout is February 1 on the ShoBox undercard. Hopefully he will get some TV exposure if the main event or one of the other undercard bouts ends in an early KO. Or maybe some highlights if Hines wins an impressive KO.

My pleasure boss! He's years away, but I like to follow pre-prospect HW's. It would be nice to get more vids of the lad. Although I don't expect TV exposure anytime soon.

Not bad so far. I'd call him a pre-prospect.

LOL! That's why I call him prospect/suspect.
Prospects are like waves in the distance when you're body surfing. You don't know if their going to end up to be big when they start.
I've tracked. so many white, black, and brown HWs hopes, I've lost count. Oh oh, if I was gov. of a state, I might have to resign for using that example.

This won't mean much to non-Brits, but everytime his name comes up I'm reminded of the UK comedy classic "Only fools and horses" where Rodney is very proud of his new gold bracelet which has his name engraved on it. Everyone he shows it off to, or who catches sight of it and asks to look at it, they all look at it, then at him very quizzically and query ... "Rooney?".

Hines' manager Vito Mielnicki says he plans to have Roney fight again on February 23 and March 18. He needs to stay busy...
