22 year old American heavyweight prospect, Darmani Rock (13-0-0) is back in action on February 8 vs Steven Lyons (5-3-0) at the 2300 Arena, Philadelphia. Most recently, 6'5" and 270 LB Rock scored a TKO over Pedro Julio Rodriguez in 4 rounds last October.
Rock had a decent amateur career winning the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championships Superheavyweight Division. At the 2015 Olympic trials, Darmani beat current HW prospect Amron Sands, but lost to Marlo Moore in the winners bracket, in Reno.
Hoping 2019 is a busy year for Rock and we see him step up in subsequent bouts. Rock is currently ranked 119 by BoxRec.

I'd really like to see Darmani step up the level of his competition. He will have been fighting as a pro 3 years in May of this year and this will be his 14th pro fight.
Time to step up and see if he is capable of continue Philly's historic tradition of boxing. The city has turned out 20+ world champs!!

Would be nice. I sure hope so. I want to see some of these prospects make some moves in the current year.

Teofimo Lopez is the only 2016 Olympian I know of who is actually predicting he will win a world title in 2019!!
He's fighting on the TV undercard of Kovalev-Alvarez this weekend!! Looking forward to that one!!

Lopez looked great his last time out, demolishing Mason Menard in opening round. Menard lasted 9 rounds vs Devin Haney & 7 with Ray Beltran. One punch from Teo had Menard unconscious before he hit the canvas!!
