Even ignoring Marcellos' recent loss...
He doesn't seem like a fighting man to me. More like a Wilder groupy who has been given the blessing to go and make some money from his surname.
He might be bigger, heavier, stronger, older but....
Tommy Fury has been moving and jabbing since he was old enough to walk.
I think the first time he was revealed to the public he was ~14 years old, loved body building/staying in shape & tagging along on Peter Fury training camps? The difference in pedigree would be huge.
If they can sell this fight good for them i guess. But for me it would be binman vs prospect...

I looked again at his debut fight on YouTube, and next to it was a Freddie Roach interview on the Fury v Wilder fight. He was very critical of Ben Davison and his tactics, saying if Tyson was more aggressive(using Roachs tactics) that Fury would have Ko'd Wilder.
Basically went on to say that he was naive and inexperienced and that it should be he himself taking control in the next fight.
For me Roach is looking for a payday and Ben did the job just right.

we went through that topic before on its own thread , and his words got totally blown out of proportion and context
bizarre to me why some ppl got so huffy and derogatory at roach, he makes legitimate points that are fair to consider even if u dont agree with everything, but of course it always has to be some absolute sh!thole greedy motive right , and we all should get on our knees in love for benny

I actually agree, Tyson needs to throw more shots than he does. I think making Tyson more aggressive would ultimately be damaging to him, he needs to stick to what he is good at, as being more aggressive would take away from his defensive prowess.
The example which sticks out for me is the Cunningham fight. In the corner Peter Fury was always a calming influence and he couldn't get a visa for that fight leading him to fight in a more kamikaze fashion.
Davison too is a relaxed guy who gives calm instructions, this is what Tyson needs. Some fighters need to be pumped up, others need to think more clearly.

I agree that a large part of Tyson's defensive prowess is due to his conservative offense, i.e. he doesn't fully commit to most punches and doesn't throw in extended combinations to avoid leaving openings. I don't think that his low punch output leaves him vulnerable against busy fighters because he is always moving his feet. Fighters can't be busy against him because he is never in range.
