People tends to underestimate Shafikov, that guy is a tremendeous pressure fighter with excelent stamina and very good overall boxing skill. Commey lost to him did not mean he is bad boxer. Speaking of Lomachenko fight: IMO Commey has a chance, but slim. Still better than Crolla fight which they wanna to sell to us Commey is big, tough, durable and can punch. He is dangerous to anyone. IMO i don´t think he is at level of Lomachenko, Garcia, Davis and Berchelt. But Loma has scheduled fight at april and if he dont want fight a total bum in such a short notice, Richard Commey is the right man. Plus, he has a title.

Commey's size, strength and power give him a chance but Loma should still be a clear favorite. The ESPN team also mentioned something about Commey hurting his hand last night. Hopefully that will not delay Commey-Loma showdown.

I think he could make Loma cagey for the first half of the fight, but actually beat him? Nah.

Other than Mikey Garcia, I think Commey has the best chance to beat Loma of anyone who can make 135!!

Commey admitted to reporters at ringside that he may have injured his right hand in the first round. “When I hit him I felt my right hand moved. I’m going to have to look at it,” he said.

When asked if he would be able to fight Lomachenko in April, Commey couldn’t confirm that he would be available to fight The Matrix that quickly.

“I won’t know until I see a doctor.”

Commey added that his hand wasn’t swollen, but that he “felt something pop” in his hand.

Commey's dangerous, and you can't sleep on him, but I think Loma would still outbox him. I wouldn't be too shocked if Commey hurt him or something a time or two though. He has good power, and punches from weird angles sometimes.

The Commey I saw against Easter Jr. certainly has no chance against Lomachenko.

He shined against the right opponent Saturday, but let's see if he can get set to unleash his bombs against the always moving Lomachenko.

I doubt it. Commey will follow him around the ring, unable to get his heavy shots off. His footwork is not great.

Commey's not the special fighter needed to beat Lomachenko. He might go 12, but it will be one sided.

I think Commey is a 135-lb version of Indongo. Loma will have no problems with him.

Good. Commey is far better oponent than Crolla IMO. Maybe this will force Crolla to fight somebody like Luke Campbell to earn shot in eyes of fans, not only in eyes of WBA.
