With the competitiveness of the HW division, I'm hard pressed to remember a time when so many were fighting each other!

8-Ortiz...Hammer
9-Breazeale...Whyte
10-Kownacki...

Coming up are Usyk vs (?): Parker vs Chisora (?); Pulev vs (?); Kownacki vs (?)…

And so many good prospects heading our way: Joyce; Dubois; Ajagba; Hrgovic; Makhmudov; etc.

Yeah, and I'd say, the HW is the most entertaining ones again.

There are three decent fights to be made at heavyweight (Joshua-Miller; Whyte-Breazeale; & Fury-Wilder), with there being the possibility of a fourth if the rumours are true about Usyk potentially facing Povetkin, Parker or Ortiz on the 18th May.

I have no interest in the Ortiz-Hammer mismatch and Kownacki and Pulev won’t be facing any big names next either, as they'll be engaging in stay-busy type bouts against overmatched shot opposition.

The heavyweight division is generally looking good and healthy at the moment though.

Unless there’s a lot of money to be made, boxing politics with prevent a PBC fighter like Kownacki facing anyone affiliated with ESPN or DAZN.

So if the chubby pugilist from Poland will be facing a contender during his next outing, it’ll likely be against little-known hand-picked name from the WBC’s top 15 rankings, rather than any of the top-ten fighters that are rated by ESPN or The RING.

The PBC does have a decent-sized roster of heavyweights though, but only two of them are world-rated, which means the Pole will likely face one of his stablemates (excl. Breazeale or Wilder).

Kownacki -Ortiz may be later in the year.

What HWs does Top Rank have? They've signed a co-promotional deal with Pulev and looked to make the Helenius fight but that has fell through. Rivas/Jennings was on a TR card. Are both with TR? They've just "lost" Andy Ruiz to PBC. Are they still linked to Joseph Parker?

Pulev vs Rivas or Parker would be interesting. The winner would push himself right into the mix for a title shot.

Yeah. Maybe interesting in terms of the implications on the division rather than as a spectacle. I'm not in a rush to see Pulev again after the stinker with Hughie.

I think these fights are realistic in 2019 :

Wilder vs. Fury 2
Povetkin vs. Whyte
Usyk vs. Parker

Joshua vs. Wilder/Fury winner (if not this year than in 2020).

It would be enough for me.................

There's only three decent fights in that list. The winner of the Wilder-Fury rematch probably won't face Anthony Joshua during 2019.

And Dillian Whyte will probably be forced to wait for his title shot until 2020.

There are only four fights listed, so 3 of four isn't bad. I think all four will be good watches.
