MAIDANA COMING BACK! CONFIRMED DEAL WITH PBC? WHO YOU WANT TO SEE HIM FIGHT???

Rumours are getting louder and louder that Marcos Madaina is making a remarkable comeback! Who Y'All wanna see him fight?
Again, wtf are you talking about? Lemieux's now fighting at super middleweight as we stated he can't make middle and Maidana would never go that high for a fight.verlichte wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 10:08 Rematches against Broner or Khan would be good.
I'd prefer him to have two or three bouts beforehand against journeymen to clear the ring rust, regain his fitness levels and lose some weight.
It won't happen because of boxing politics (i.e. DAZN versus PBC), but if his comeback bout is at 160lbs, I'd like to see David Lemieux try to make that weight once again to face the Argentine. That would be fun to watch.
Maidana is a really big boy (he competed at 165lbs when he was a welterweight and he's even bigger now) and I did only say that "I'd like to see David Lemieux try to make that weight once again". Again, wtf you talking about? He competed at supper-middle while he was a welterweight? Did he split himself in two, one being 148lbs, the other 165lbs and fight himself?he competed at 165lbs when he was a welterweight
Last I heard, Matthysse is retired. Of course that could change at any moment, but for now.....
You need to do your research.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 11:08You just saidverlichte wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 10:36Maidana is a really big boy (he competed at 165lbs when he was a welterweight and he's even bigger now) and I did only say that "I'd like to see David Lemieux try to make that weight once again". The heaviest he's ever fought at is 151lbs. If only there was an... umm.. website that listed all these facts... and you could check before making yourself like like the biggest idiot going. Ummmm a website with BOXING RECORDS... what shall we call it? Ummm... I know. Boxrec
lol if he looked 190 pounds then hes lost a lot of weight since the pictures ive been seeing of himjujigatame wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 10:06 I dunno, he's 35 and the last time I saw a picture of him he looked about 190 pounds. I have my doubts this is a serious comeback.
Sadly I think you're rightSenorPipino wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 15:03
When you're 35 years old, retired 5 years and have allowed yourself to become obese, be assured that the only reason that Maidana is returning is because "he burned through all that money."
Certainly awakening before dawn to do miles and miles of roadworks, isn't seductive enough to lure him back.

Bandied about for setting up some fights, not initial fight. Says he's "dipping his toe" into the deep end of the division.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑15 Feb 2019, 20:02 I strongly doubt that he can fight any top WW if he somehow manages to make 147 which is unlikely.
He was never a big welterweight. He’s 5’7” and was shredded at 140 but was clearly carrying a bit of timber (for a boxer anyway) up at 147. He is too small for light middle or middle.verlichte wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 10:36Maidana is a really big boy (he competed at 165lbs when he was a welterweight and he's even bigger now) and I did only say that "I'd like to see David Lemieux try to make that weight once again". Yep it ain’t like he’s coming back to regain a title. Look at the crop around. Spence, Garcia at welter, Hurd and Munguia at light middle, Canelo, GGG at middle. After 5 years out all should beat him easilySenorPipino wrote: ↑14 Feb 2019, 15:03
