Billy Joe Saunders will move up in weight to challenge Germany’s Shefat Isufi for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) 168-pound title. The fight, which will take place at SSE (Wembley) Arena in London, was announced at a press conference in London..

I just looked after reading your post - he’s a glorified Hungarian Bin Man - beats the better journeyman with winning records and gets SMW World Title shot - WTF
He’ll be getting £30k/£40K tops - cheap way to buy a world title - staggering fight to be called World Champ.

I would say I'm disappointed, but unfortunately when it comes to Boxing I'm rarely disappointed. It's predictable, most of the time.

Is this a title grab a la Canelo vs Rocky or is he planning on staying at 168? I hope its the former. Outside of jumping straight into a unification (which we all know won't happen) with Smith, Benavidez or Plant what else is there? I'd prefer to see him at 160 with any of Canelo, GGG, Jacobs, Andrade, Charlo or Derevyanchenko.

Quietly vacated.. wants to move up and challenge Kovalev.
Tbh, the British super middleweight scene is quite decent.

Isufi is marketed as Number 1 contender! But he’s never beaten anyone in the Top 20 of any ranking body at SMW as far as I can see ? Total joke of a fight.

Nobody would want him without a title, but within one, it doesn't matter how he got it, the big fights will be there, at MW too.
