im disgusted that british boxing is moving to America.
Boxing was doing well the last few years and this will effect its popularity
BT have not had a show this year and the sky show was a disaster ( even adam smith said so)
i hope this backfires on them both.

I don't understand why burns crolla etc who have a good fan base are fighting in USA

fcuk the lot of them.

UFC is run better anyway and I'm sick of boxing where the best don't fight the best..

Im a 9 -5 worker and watching fights in the middle of the night does not appeal to me.

Brook,, will fight again there soon when he should be fighting in sheffield
Crolla,, going over to get beat
Fielding,,, sold his title
Khan,,, going over to get beat
Degale,, bed move leaving the uk,, this weekends failed ppv will highlight that

these people should mainly be fighting in the UK

You could have a point , are the british fans going to stay up all night and pay to watch, there country men get beat more than win , British fighters to the yanks are pretty much on par with the Argies for the british , Canelo -Khan , Brooks - GGG ect ect , Only really AJ and Fury that are breaking that mould, Then again if thats where the good money is , who can blame the fighters .

I think the problem lies with Hearn he' wants them there to support and promote the new mob ,, Got a feeling Eddie is gonna get to big for his britches , soon , would'nt be suprisd to see sky piss him off

I love boxing always have always will,and will always follow it,but I don't delve deep into the mechanics of it any more as it is mind numbing & really doesn't matter,I don't gain nothing or earn nothing out of it,and it's all just a mess really

Got to say I'd take a rough,tough domestic fight/derby or a British title fight over a lot of world boxing these days,the lower levels & small halls where a fighter is still hungry & has all the heart in the world,gives me a kick

Nowadays we get so wrapped up in bullsh**t behind the scenes stuff that we lose sight of the only thing that matters and that's the actual "boxing"

World boxing can be great but how often do you get fights like saucedo-zappavigna?

Small hall,British,euro dust ups beat a lot of the world s**t these days,and watching amateurs with bundles of talent work there way through

ha ha how many UFC cards don't take place at stupid o'clock on the morning? You'll be hard pushed to find more than 4 per year

The US has always attracted the top talent from around the world, so there is no reason for the UK's fighters not to want to go there to test themselves against the best.

I feel that the diluting of UK shows it has caused recently is temporary as Hearn will need less British/Irish fighters to pack out his US cards as he signs more and more US based fighters.

I don't think this is anything of the permanent sort. I wouldn't get too 'excitable' about it.

i mean, a guy like crolla, how can you get mad at him when the champ is a p4p star and based in america and got more pulling power?

most of those guys listed fought almost entirely in the uk except for big opportunities vs us names who offer big financial gain

i say fukk the guy who just wants it all at home. so many fans yet then bash fighters from other countries about not travelling yet act like its been some sort of failure if the fight isnt home in the uk. its a self centered arrogance. being outside the home zone makes it more interesting a lot of the time

Remember Friday fight night on sky ? Was some belting British title scraps on there

The only things I don’t like about these deals are good level British operators getting thrown as lambs to slaughter to fill up cards.

Welborn and Callum Johnson spring to mind.

The majority of the fighters mentioned in the OP are world class operators and deserve the biggest stage to perform regardless where it is.

You mentioned Selby and DeGale. They got enough money from there end of the deal to set themselves up for life.

We have had some of the best fighters in the world over here in recent years. GGG, Donaire, Rigo etc etc. We’ve got to expect some to go the other way aswell.

Imo Eddie's DAZN deal will mean a lot of our best fighters boxing in America now which means 4/5 am fights for us and who are going to pay £20 to watch AJ vs Miller at 5 in the morning ? Boxing here could end up like in America a minor sport because no one will be watching because it's on at stupid o'clock in the morning.

totally agreed mate, absolutely fed up of split talks, judges talks, promoters talks - but I guess these variables make our (nutters like us) sport so fun to follow !

I've been guilty of getting involved in heated debates about promoters talks in the past& I really don't know why people delve into it all like they are beneficiaries &get all bent out of shape over it & its madness

What one boxing gets paid & what frank says to Eddie or al says to bob really does not f**king matter to me

Boxing is about great fights,beautiful footwork,subtle but brutal infighting,devastating counter punches,brutal fights,technical fights,seeing an am win his first title,watching a man go through the levels,all this so clued up about business dealings is killing the sport imo

Like I said I've been guilty of debating it in the past but I really don't give a f**k anymore,I care about fights & the right titles,unless I'm a promoter myself or stand to earn out of a fighter why should I care? We remember the great fights,you don't see a great fight & then years later talk about business dealings & cash

We all got into boxing cos of the fights themselves,we didn't get in to boxing cos of the promoters & behind the scenes side,
