Joe Joyce vs Dominic Breazeale - Somebody make this fight

This would be so great. Two guys who have big pop, go for it with heavy shots, have vulnerable defenses. Neither appears to be an Elite talent, but both are solid contenders. This would just be a fun f*cking fight, and I'd like to see it. I'd probably favor Joyce by the slightest of margins, but I wouldn't be shocked by any outcome, and I think it'd be a war.

Maybe six minute rounds since they both move at half speed?

Joe Joyce makes Frank Bruno look like Hector Camacho.

Yeah, two big and hard-hitting fellas with no defence - this means a brawl with someone very likely getting flattened. It's hard to predict, who'll win. Well, Breazeale is proved more at the higher level, than Joyce, and we know, that Breazeale is a gutsy fighter. I'd pick Breazeale to win by a KO.

Yeah, Breazeale is big enough and can sort of box. So good match up if it happens. But then again was this card not on the PBC in the states? Then would be no problem pther them getting this to in the ring, i hope.

I've made fun of Joyce's incredible lack of hand speed, but his defense and punch delivery are equally bad. Breazeale is more skilled.

I think it would be an easy win for JJ, he's just too fast, and to highly skilled for Breazeale.
It's rare when I see Joyce described as "fast."
Looking quicker than the Buddha-like Stiverne doesn't mean that speed is one of Joyce's great assets.

Slo-Mo-Joe. I'm no Breazeale fan, but to say JJ is 'too highly skilled' is just completely off the board. To say he is "too fast" is just ridiculous.

He was clearly slower than stiiverne for the 5 minutes stiverne could hold up his arms and breathe.

I must have missed those 5 minutes.
Stiverne appeared exhausted just climbing into ring.

Going back to the OP.
Yes, it would be a good fight.
Problem I have with it is Whyte is the guy who needs to fight Breazeale. When the WBC #1 is determined by Brazeale fighting Whyte, and there is a clear mandatory for Wilder, then I'll be happy.
Joyce hasn't earned a shot at Brazeale. Whyte has.

Not sure Breazeale's chin would hold but Joyce would get countered by a few uppercuts by then. Would be interesting but i like the possible Charr fight even more as far as testing value.

I understand what you're saying, but I disagree about earning shots at anyone outside of a champion. No one needs to earn a shot with Dominic Breazeale. Whyte had a shot for his rematch but wanted more time, more money, whatever. Whyte has already earned his title shot, but he's also turned down his title shot. Let whomever actually wants to fight fight.

That would be perfectly fine in a world when heavies fought 4 or five times a year. Now we have to hope a mandatory will force some of these guys to actually fight. And even then i feel the WBC will be over ruled by the fighters.

Spot on and any fight leading up to that should be against a carefully handpicked opponent. Maybe Helenius, he seems pretty gun shy now and was never much to begin with. Arreola is still fighting, but he might beat Joyce if he shows up in shape. Then there is always Kevin Johnson.

Joyce may have just set himself in a decent little spot here and i cant see him risking it with a breazeal fight.
just won WBA gold, which will give him a shot a WBA reg, Witch he should win. With that he should be able to make some low risk defenses against some shit opposition and sell it to casual fans as "world title fights" (like what they did with canelo vs feilding) ,Then fight AJ (or whoever has it) for WBA super title, almost certainly lose that, and retire or plod around mid ranks for a bit.
I like Joyce so hope he nails that path cause i think its probably the best option for him. Joyce can probably beat some of the top guys but there is significant risk, i probly feel like; miller, pulve, breazeal and kownaki are his best matchups near the top and there all 50-50 at best.

I will put my house on it Dominic puts Joe to sleep if they meet any time soon.

Dominic Breazeale would be a good opponent for Joe Joyce to face, after the American has tasted defeat against Dillian Whyte or Deontay Wilder. Both are PBC guys, so it should be an easy fight to make.
I doubt that Breazeale would consider facing Joyce right now though, since Dominic has bigger fish to fry and can earn better paydays elsewhere.
Abel Sanchez already openly admits to the fact that Joe Joyce isn’t ready to face any of the elite-level heavyweights just now, so the Brit will continue facing journeymen or fringe contenders for the foreseeable future.
To be perfectly honest, Joe Joyce has shown very little stylistic improvements over the last sixteen months or so. He’ll be 34 years of age fairly soon. And I think he’s already “missed the bus”, in terms of progressing his career to a level where he'll be considered as being a genuine threat to his peers in the heavyweight division.
Joe Joyce’s career path will inevitably tread the very same steps taken by the previously hyped-up American, Michael Grant or Cubans like Jorge Luis González or Odlanier Solis.
Some fight fans will lavish great praise on Joyce, boldly-proclaiming him to be the next big thing and a future Hall-of-Famer, but in reality, he’s a disaster waiting to happen, and the hype train will be derailed the first time he faces a half-decent opponent.
