Chris Eubank Jnr

He beat what was in front of him yesterday, regardless of how far JDG had faded, that's all you can ask really.
We all know the kid has solid attributes in his engine, chin, and athleticism, which some more school boxers don't have.. So bearing that in mind, how far do you think Jnr could have gone had he had a traditional boxing upbringing, with a permanent high level boxing coach, and from the start?

In theory he couldlve gone far
But is it really to much to ask to try & hone boxing basics?to try & throw straight shots & actually box a bit rather than winging wild shots....he is in cracking condition & a relentless fighter when he wants to be but a top boxer will always do him....DeGale wasn't up for it last night but anyone who is up for it will beat him
Shame he seems to show no concern for actual boxing cos as far as conditioning is concerned a lot could learn from him

Eubank Golovkin is a fight I would love to see, we have absolutely seen the best of a 36 year GGG now, and whilst 3 years ago he would destroy Eubank, now its a lovely 50/50 chin checking slug fest

GGG is nowhere near what he was
But unlike DeGale,I personally feel he'll always have enough to beat Jnr

the big talk before the eubank-degale fight was that both times eubank had stepped up to top level he had been found wanting, but in fairness he was not destroyed by groves or saunders.
what people had forgot was...
degale could not beat groves either, and you have to question whether degale would beat BJS.

So the GGG that at least 50% of boxing observers had beating p4p contender Canelo in their rematch six months ago is somehow now a 50/50 with CEJ, on the basis of the latter beating the shell of James Degale? Really?!

Couldn't agree more Bruv. Eubank should not even be mentioned in the same sentence let alone be in the same ring with him. Don't care how good Eubank chin is he would get knocked spark out.

And sorry, couldn’t resist adding to that. You do know GGG beat Canelo for a second time in most experts eyes

He beat a shot DeGale mainly with his explosivity, has showed some slight improvements... but that's it, he has to climb more and more

Bit harsh.
Do I think Eubank wins? No.
Do I think it would be a good fight? Absolutely.
I would also like to see it.

Bad timing for Eubank, he just got some momentum last night and still has much development before he can compete with someone of Golovkins ilk. A fun fight if you dont like Eubank tho.

Cmon let’s look rationally. Groves was one of my favourite fighters but he was just about world level. GGG is elite. Groves schooled Eubank completely. Eubank wouldnnt won a round

Yep. Brook stuck around for so long cos he can really box (especially unbeaten brook). Eubank can’t

Eubank has world class exposure and promotion but he clearly isn’t a world class fighter.
I am however a big fan. He is enigmatic and causes debate and stirs interest.
He is clearly ruthless and bloody minded and seemingly not particularly warm, personable nor likeable.
His story is an interesting one and his toughness, fitness and drive are something quite exceptional. However, world class boxing requires much more than this and sadly he is far too crude. But he gives anyone an uncomfortable night and regardless of whether he lost a decision to Groves handily or not he was putting Groves under huge, massive pressure in the last round of their fight which I am certain contributed to Groves dislocating his shoulder. And something which isn’t lost on Groves who was quite respectful of junior last night. Let’s not also forget that Groves was a huge super-middleweight and Junior isn’t even a big middleweight.
Junior deserves props for last night’s effort. However, factor in that Degale was badly shot and it is obvious to even the blind that Junior isn’t at the top of the food chain. But to his credit he can only beat the man in front of him and he did that. Also his unrelenting belief in himself is sometimes too much for many to warm to him.
I hope under his new trainer he can really develop his boxing but I suspect it is little too late. I hope I am wrong but the odds will be against Junior in that regard.
One thing is for certain though, without Junior on the British Boxing scene, things would be much less interesting.

I think Callum Smith beats junior and BJS beats him again. De Gale is a shell of his former self

Smith would deffo beat jnr & bill would beat him again yes

Jnr is in top condition but that is where it ends for him

proper shame considering how good he could be if he knuckled down & focused on actual boxing
