You know sometimes looking back at the old fighters (pre Ali era) and their seemingly superhuman efforts I'm inclined to shake my head in disbelief.
Looking at Danny Williams now, I get the same feeling.
Just what is he made of?

Are you comparing Williams to the likes of Marciano, Dempsey, Walcott? He’s only doing it for money, he was recently KOd by a former lightweight who’s not boxed for a few years

Boban is a joke despite being 40 odd has only faced one fighter with a winning record and that guy had one more win than loses

I was going to write cherrypicking goes wrong. But then i looked at Filipovic record, photo and age and it was clear. "professional" boxing at his best ....

Three fights against opponents with winning records...and two of those were against the same guy who was 38 and no wins over anyone with a winning record.

It won't take me long to root for Williams. I always loved him years ago. Came to fight every time and never quit.

I agree. They don't have to be world champions or even top contenders to enjoy and respect them

It’s a shame for a middle-aged 45-year-old veteran, like Danny Williams, to spend the final nine years his career, spanning 30 fights (losing 60% of them), competing in tiny Eastern European venues, especially considering he once headlined events facing the likes of Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko.
