Showtime boxing contest

Post by armageto »

It looks fun and is free, plus the prizes seem good. A chance to add some excitement to the fights for people who don't like to bet.

Info about it:

This new Pick ‘Em style game asks players to choose the winner of each televised fight, determine the method of victory and predict when the bout will end for all SHOWTIME boxing events including SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING®, ShoBox: The New Generation®, SHOWTIME Boxing: Special Edition and SHOWTIME PPV®. Players will be awarded points based on the number of correct predictions in each boxing match. Prizing for individual fight cards includes $5,000 in winnings with each of the top-five finalists receiving a SHOWTIME Boxing prize pack. Additionally, the overall 2019 Pick ‘Em winner will be awarded a free trip to every 2020 SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® event.

It's on Draftkings. League starts tonight for the Lara card.

I guess if anybody joins, post your name. I'm the same as here, just with an 80 at the end.

Obviously trying to drum up interest and loyalty in their product at the dawn of the DAZN era.

SHOWTIME boxing will very well go the way of HBO in the next several years.

These cheaper streaming services are the future of boxing.

I agree to a certain point. It really comes down to if you like the content other than boxing. When I had cable and HBO, I didn't mind. Aside the boxing, I liked a few HBO shows to as well. I think Dazn and Showtime run about the same money. So I could see somebody preferring Showtime due to the other than boxing content and the ease of TV use. I got rid of cable last year and just use a streaming service for everything these days. So I get all the boxing and tv I could ask for, for $25.

Agree they are trying to boost interest and such. Hell, for a chance to win some prizes for free, I'll try it out.
