I think Mosley beats Wright...

I think mosley will beat wright this time mainly because he has a new trainer... joe goosen. jack is out and it's about time. i think Mosley is smaller thaan Wright but he can use in and out tactics this time with speed and footwork and throw more than 1 punch at a time. I really think he'll get the job done this time. Lets face it, he cant really do any worse than what he did in the first fight... he was thoroughly beaten. I just think the change in trainer is a HUGE difference and I'll be having a few quid on sugar shane. i think you can get 3/1 on mosley to win.

The fight will be closer (because it can't be much worse for Shane). However, I can't see a new champion to be honest.
Shane's too small for the weight and his handspeed has gone. Thats like Roy Jones losing his reflexes. I just cannot see a single depmartment in which Mosley is better than Wright at (including Handspeed unfortunately). The only factor might be heart and resiliance, but I cannot see Mosley posing enough questions to Winky. Ronald has been in with big punchers and can do the 12 round distance easy.
Shane really hasn't won a fight since 2001, its a shame because he was a great fighter.

Wright for me as well, he has the beating of Mosley at this weight and holds all the aces. Mosley has lost his main attributes since moving up in weight and those were his speed of hand and foot...he just doesn't have anything to offer IMO Wright 12UD Mosley.

lot of respect for mosley. when he lost to forrest he gave the rematch a try and he's doing it again with winky wright.

shame naseem hamed didn't enforce his rematch clause he might have earned some respect out of it.
i agree with the others i just don't c how mosley can win this.

wright has that tricky southpaw style and big reach advantages. mosley lacks the power and more importantly the speed to get to winky enuff.
respect to shane for giving it another try though

I think Wright will win, possibly by stoppage this time.

I'm all on my own then.
I just believe that Mosley can turn the clock back and I see him as a better all round fighter than Wright when you think about it. I think he'll outspeed him and win a decision by making the necessary adjustments. He'll have thought of nothing but what adjustments he can make against Wright since the fight and he'll have watched the video lots of times. Don't write him off so much, it's not as much of a forgone conclusion as it seems.. Could be wrong, but we'll see.

Mosley's not been as effective since moving up to welterweight. IMO he lucked out both times against De La Hoya. Not his fault, because he fought his heart out first time round and came up on the right end of the decision. Second time, however, he was given a very dodgy decision.
Financially, the De La Hoya fights were a good move, but I think Shane would have been an excellent champion at 10stone. He peaked at lightweight and was so much stronger than those guys as he was tight at the weight, but when he move dup, he didn't carry his power into fights against the likes of De La Hoya and Forrest and at 11stone, he's even less powerful and quick.
He was plain outboxed, outsped, out-everythinged against Wright last time and he didn't seem to have the power to be able to turn the fight in his favour. Plus, Wright's got a good chin and is very difficult to nail.
Plus, after such a long time waiting for the big fights to come his way, I don't see Wright getting complacent and walking onto one and even if he does, it will have to be a very good shot to keep him down.
Plus, Wright is on his game at the moment and I can see him winning more easily. In fact, I can see him stopping Mosley around the ninth or 10th round this time.

I loved Mosely at lightweight, and even at welter he had most of his old magic, but he just hasn't looked the same at light-middle. It would be nice to see the old Sugar Shane back, not least because it would be a cracking fight, but I fear he's lost under the muscle mass he's put on.

I can envisge him being stopped, or even being pulled out, Winky's got his number.

I'm very interested to see what happens here, because ever since this rematch was announced (a fight which, let's face it, Mosley cannot win legitimately) I've been suspicious of what methods Mosley may resort to during preparation in order to gain an advantage.
It's safe to say Wright will be every bit as good all-round as last time, while I wouldn't be surprised if Mosley is juiced up to buggery. What on earth could make him believe he was going to win otherwise? He made absolutely no impression last time. Maybe he just wasn't right on the right as can obviously happen. We'll see.

I didn't think he won the second fight but i don't think he lucked out in the first, i thought Mosley was a worthy winner. I agree with your first point though....Mosley's best days were at Lightweight for sure and i am glad he has ditched his old man as trainer, as a motivator he was piss poor.

And i think you should be sectioned.
Mosley is finished as a top level fighter, and has been for quite some time. As others have said, the weight is too much for him, he's an old man now (both in terms of his actual age, and in terms of the length of his career), and the physical gifts he once had have all gone. Stu's Roy Jones comparison works for me, because the things that made Mosley a great fighter are the things that deteriorate first, and sadly they are not things that come back. He's just a shell of the fighter he once was, which is sad (although it's an inevitability) because he was outstanding before his move up the weights.
I think Mosley will be beaten up over the full distance again. He's not a quitter, and i'm not sure Wright will have enough (of a punch, or killer instinct) to stop him. A wide points decision seems like the only logical outcome.
