Michael Conlan vs Ruben Garcia Hernandez

This Sunday on b/nation Conlan headlines another St Paddys day card in MSG against Mexican Hernandez, trying to think if ive seen Hernandez before, he has a name which you see once a month in cards from America, he has points losses to Donaire and the fella Rivera who challenged Santa Cruz the other week, he was also stopped by Caballero , I think if Conlan can stop him then its a decent marker

I'm still not entirely sold on Conlan, he dominated Cunningham last time out but looked a bit boring in doing so until the last round when it sprung into life but I think Cunningham steadied him a couple of times in that fight, Conlan's definitely a tidy boxer, moves well and has a good punch variety but I just find his pro career a bit meh so far and Hernandez is doing nothing to change that, I think there's no doubt Conlan wins this but even if he were to stop Hernandez then then so what really?

I really don't understand the hype, or why the Americans really seem to get behind the Irish boxers? :maybe:

Not sold on Conlan either.

Irish Americans? Strange old bunch.

I’ve been to Ireland a few times and have plenty of second generation Irish friends here, my own wife is second generation paddy. Irish people are class
I’ve been to the East Coast in US and met Irish Americans...not patch on the real McCoy.

Lacking in humour, take themselves too seriously and wouldn’t know what the craic was if it hit them on the nut :TU:

Still, it’s easy money for the Irish lads who want to take advantage of the love they receive there! :TU:

I'm not convinced Conlan is actually a shoe in to beat Hernandez :maybe:
I've watched Ruben a few times and it's definitely a step up.
Should be entertaining.
Good on Conlan for finding an audience, USA or otherwise. It's just savvy marketing. Plenty of UK fighters have found the love in America over the years, plenty have found the hate too.
Whatever puts bums on seats, I recon. American boxing isn't the healthiest these days, so whatever builds fans is all good for boxing in general.

I like watching guys who just box with no special power. Conlan is a pure boxer with a great skill set. How far he goes is anyone's guess, but for classic boxing I enjoy him.

Paddy Barnes bleeding and down from a body shot (not ruled as a knockdown though.) Got his hands full here in a six rounder.

What's about a result of Barnes fight? Is it already over?

So Collazo won SD in NY. So is it fair enough decision or robbery?
