Looked like he was trying to survive after a while. He never switched up his game plan. Even though he was getting outboxed on a technical level, Mikey stayed technical. I know he was the smaller guy. But, sitting on the outside taking shots and not throwing was horrible.

Once he saw he couldn't have an impact on Spence, he went into more survival mode. I was disappointed, hoping Garcia saw something that made him take the fight. Now I just feel he was delusional.

I think that he was in survival mode the entire fight, with the possible exception of the 2nd round, which I shaded to him. He never went for it. Late, he barely through punches at all.
The more I think about it, I think that this was a tryout for Mikey’s drawing power, and I think that he may win the Pac sweepstakes.

Mikey probably had some hopes, but Spence quickly erased them. After round 6, Mikey was definitely just surviving.

I think there was 2 halves. First half he did try to win the rounds. By round 7, he knew he was gonna be out-worked for the remainder of the fight.

Yeah, but I think it quickly became apparent to him that Spence was faster and more skilled than he had previously thought, and he didn't really have a Plan B. Especially when going on the attack didn't work either.

He did try to win, but he was massively out of his depth.
He could have been pulled out earlier and his corner did offer to, but he refused.

I'm undecided, but leaning towards no. If he was going all out to win, he would have been cleanly stopped late. Mid rounds he decided he's not getting stopped stuck with surviving and occasionally throwing back. All his limitations at the higher weight were glaring, evident previously but exploited big time yesterday. My goodness, what did he land 7 shots a round? Errol took a terrific offensive fighter turned him into a mug. With a lil half step back and a jab. Mr. IQ had nothing.

It's tough to win when your opponent is bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, much more active and technically superior.

Hear hear.
Garcia was completely out of his depth.
I suppose he could have tried to bulldoze his way in, hang his chin on the washing line and got knocked out, but he doesn't fight like that.
Garcia is a technical fighter; unfortunately for him, he was too small for his technical skills to make any impression against a bigger stronger guy with even better technical ability.

Of course he was. Why wouldn't he? It wasn't about the money because Garcia could've called Pacquiao out.

Of course he was trying to win.
Garcia was an undefeated, proud 4 division world champion.
Guys like him don't care to be embarrassed on a world stage.
But Mikey Garcia is also human.
When you're in the line of fire from Spence's arsenal, self preservation comes first.
He was completely outgunned from the opening bell. Garcia did the best he could.

I accurately predicted how the fight played out. Garcia tried his best, he was moderately competitive during the first half of the bout, until Spence Jr’s size advantage overwhelmed him.
Far too many people anticipated the outcome of this bout and it seems extremely disrespectful to Garcia to accuse him of not even trying. Mikey dared to be great but was outgunned by a bigger foe that possessed similar talents.
We definitely won’t see Errol Spence Jr. attempting to win world titles in five weight classes.

Mikey was trying - he was constantly trying to find his distance but Spence had supreme command of it. Mikey wasn’t firing because he wasn’t in range. It’s imprinted in his brain, if he’s not in range he’s not going to fire, he’s a smart boxer. I thought he put up a valiant effort but clearly was losing both the distance game (by a slight margin) and the fight ( by a sht load ).

You merely quoted an extract of my sentiments that can easily be taken out of context, hence the reason why I asked you to read the entirety of my post again.
Challenge what I wrote, not a carefully manipulated misrepresented version of my actual thoughts.
Also, I didn’t just predict a victory for Errol Spence Jr., but I also submitted a lengthy post describing how the fight would play out.
Very few people are willing to put their reputations on the line by accompanying their prediction with a description of how the events of the contest would unfold, but I did.
So, you’re welcome to criticise me as much as you want, but you can’t rewrite history and pretend that I “got it wrong”, when I clearly didn’t.

Honestly, EO, I don't read your posts usually because you simply annoy me. So baiting me won't ever work. In addition, I merely replied with what was in the post I replied to. I don't really care much about what you write. You are a bore. Sorry.

It’s absurd to say that Spence is more skilled. He was simply a lot bigger and was able to throw power shots over Mikey’s jab easily.
