Joe Pigford

Does anyone know how Joe Pigford got on tonight?
The Millers Pond. I’m fairness when he’s on his own or with his missus he’s great to talk to but when he’s with his family / mates he’s a different animal. Those close to him especially the dad start trouble and Joe steps in and ends it!
A southern area shot against that fella Robinson shouldn’t be out of the question you’d think. Depends on people’s bottle at that level given Joe hits like a mule and seems to take a punch well.
Didn't know he was like thatdave_smith wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 05:45The Millers Pond. I wasn’t there but two groups one involving Joe went at it in the summer in the beer garden after the England game. Landlady barred them but did him a solid but taking down that night all his memorabilia from the pub so none of the guys in the opposite group would cotton on who he was as the police and ambulances came.
Still see him running around the area just presume he’s gone somewhere else.
Like I say never had an issue with him, had a couple of long chats with him, one of them was when he told me he was running his FW contract down then going to Matchroom but I guess that hasn’t materialised. But when he was with his family I made sure I was at the opposite end of the pub or I went elsewhere, it was a time bomb watching to go off when they were on it!!
Sounds an absolute nightmare! I'm glad I've pretty much left the pub life behind now. Saying that, I put away 13 pints after the white collardave_smith wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 05:45The Millers Pond. 13 pints? Bet you were feeling that the next day. That’s dedication for you.Steveh583 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2019, 10:24Sounds an absolute nightmare! I'm glad I've pretty much left the pub life behind now. My mate met him and said he's sound, but ultimately how sound can you be if you are a professional fighter scrapping with regular folk. If nothing else it's just moronic careerwise.
Still feeling it now. It was ridiculous. I only need 4 to be blotto'd anyhow. Nipping it in the bud for a while.dave_smith wrote: ↑01 Apr 2019, 16:3213 pints? Bet you were feeling that the next day. Lol great story.Teflondon19 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 11:59 lol his fans are nothing more than some young harry styles-esque ponies!
...last time I met his fans I was standing over 5 of them sitting down looking like Justin Bieber extras, when they were booing a journeyman fighting a gymmate at the time who was getting rounds in....the conversation went something like
'who you guys here to see'
'joe pigford'
'ahh ok well joe had some problems with his jaw a few weeks ago'
'yeah mate he did'
' yeah that man who did it to him is in the ring getting some rounds in, so id close your mouth before you lose the use of it'
all looking sheepishly before one replies.....
'wasnt me mate was him...pointing'
they were real quiet for the next few fights....joe knows it happened I remember telling him backstage after fighting 'eff em' was his response
but joe uses these weaklings for ticket sales or at least did at the time, so more power to him, hes a decent enough guy and so is his father.
