Not so bad ! I hope it will happen. What do you think ?
Will this fight happen this year ? If yes - what do you expect ?

Two big punching prospects trying to make a mark in the sport.
It's much more likely that they'll take the path of least resistance and not come near one another.
Dubois vs Gorman is about as good as it will get.

Not a chance. Why would Joyce be remotely interested in fighting Dubois? He's already 33 years old he's looki,ng for a title fight and a top 10 fighter or two to bring that closer. I'm not convinced Fwank would want to throw his young cub in with a full grown lion anyway.
Obviously it doesn't sound good to make excuses for not wanting the fight so they talk like it's a genuine intention knowing the fight's never going to happen.

Do heavyweight prospects actually cross paths anymore?
I remember Foreman vs Kirkman back in 1970.
But today's young fighters are fed a steady diet of journeymen to build up their records and play it safe.

I agree, and because of that, boxing has become a marginal sport. I am too old to change my preferences, but I can understand the young generations (99 % of my young colleagues don't follow boxing at all).

Def not this year, and I doubt it will go beyond calling each other out, unless one of them finds themselves with a loss or two. If it happened? I'd take Dubois on a guess. I believe in his punching power and Joyce can be hit.

Boone Kirkman. That's a name I haven't come across in a good many years.
Yes it does happen ... Trey Lippe Morrison v Ed Latimore, Otto Wallin v Adrian Granat, Agit Kabayel v Stefan Lewandowski / Herve Hubeaux, but the fact that is the best I can come up with off the top of my head speaks volumes. Point taken !

Yeah, that's what it says.

Not really, but see Fury - Chisora 1 from 2011. Neither one had hardly cracked the top 20 at that point.

I don't think we'll see a bout between Joyce and Dubois. Even though I think he's an extremey limited fighter, Joe has already surpassed British level. There's no reason for him to take this fight.
The 33½ year old ‘Juggernaut’ clearly doesn’t have time on his side, which means he can’t afford to waste valuable time competing against a 21-year-old British domestic level novice.

The bids are scheduled for April, 24th.
Source : RINGSIDE24, I think this is an Ukrainan portal (in English and in Russian language).

Reports are currently circulating the web claiming that Joe Joyce has officially agreed to step aside to allow Daniel Dubois and Nathan Gorman to compete for the vacant British title.
There's nothing surprising about this news, since nearly every single one of us predicted this.
I still have some lingering doubts about Queensberry Promotions allowing their unbeaten prospects, Dubois and Gorman, to face each other so early in their careers. I'd prefer these guys to be kept apart until they've both arrived on the world-scene.
I feel that Daniel Dubois should compete for the vacant British title, with Gorman's career going down a different route.

You are exactly right. I posted the confirmation in CS.
