How good was Robbie Sims?

I would like to know how good was Marvelous Marvin Hagler's half-brother, Robbie Sims who mostly fought in the same middleweight division as his half-brother? Does he had the same style by switch hitting between his southpaw and orthodox stance? He also had a iron chin like his famous half-brother? Is there any differences between them from each of their fights?

Sims' technique wasn't nearly as good as Hagler's even though they had the same trainer . Sims's didn't turn over his hooks and had lousy balance. Those defects could have been corrected but weren't. But, sims was a tough guy and world class for his era. His fight with Duran was very entertaining.

As well as his fights with Barkely and Czyz.. He wasn't taking guys like Ramos, Shuler, or Goodwin, however.

He was much better than Ramos or Goodwin.

Yeah, I remember the Duran fight. It was a cracker.

Both of those guys could have handled Sims in good fights. Remember Sims had his inconsistent moments as well.

Unlikely, those guys were way more hyped but not as good.

Ramos was legit, just didn't have the best chin and got caught up in the 80's lifestyle. Goodwin was having weight problems. Sims also lost to Clint Jackson, of all people.

Clint was better than those guys too.

Possibly, but he stayed in the amateurs too long and lost to Tony Braxton.

Tony wasn't bad.

I wonder if Thomas "Hitman" Hearns could beat the Marvelous One's half-brother by decisioning him behind his quick left jabs and right hands or stopping him in the later rounds between 11 through 15?

Robbie Sims was a capable fighter, but no more than a fringe contender at best.

He was a good fighter, just not the elite level type.

Why listing losses and skipping Ted Sanders?

Good Point. Sanders beat both Goodwin and Ramos( ducked him the second fight), and floored and held the heavily hyped Bernard Mays to a draw. Intriguing fighter.
