There are very few big name opponents out there for him to face, with many of those available being reserved for Canelo.

I’m sure his fans will passionately defend him though, even if it means they’re resorting to applying double standards.

It’s a tricky situation for Gennady to be in, because engaging in safe business type fights makes financial sense, but it would unfortunately result in him being hypocritical.

I realise that my words wrongly portray myself as being a “hater”, but there really isn’t any justification for GGG Promotions to stage Golovkin’s disappointing bouts against Vanes Martirosyan and Steve Rolls.

And we’re inevitably going to see him engaging in even more mismatches in the near future.

There's no way DAZN would have signed Golovkin if he hadn't committed himself to competing in the Canelo rematch.
