Whilst the 11/2 odds for Calzaghe-Salem on points was monster and unlikely to be repeated soon (still kicking myself about not putting more on) has anyone else seen any other good value tips?

Two that caught my eye were:

Boxing news and Compubox both say it is likely to be a tough, close fight with Diaz the winner on pts, I thought these odds were a bit long.

That makes him a big outsider whereas I think 2-1 is a more realistic price. Not that I think Lorcy will win, but you should bet on good odds. After all Diaz is a bit unrpoven and has had a couplle of closed decisions and been dropped-he is also not a big puncher.....I know Lorcy is old and it is hard to win in the US, but he is experience and has won abroad before..

I am putting £10 on it.

Ruiz - Golota - over 10.5 rounds

5/6 (same as under 10.5 rounds)

Again not a big one, but this is a distance fight if I ever saw one...neither are good finishers and are either reasonably durable or enough of a spoiler not to get in too much trouble (and neither are good finishers.)

I'll put a tenner on it....


Anyone have any thought on Rios - Cook or other fights?

had a quck mooch round the willie hills website. their doing 4-1 williams to beat klitchko, same as ladbrokes, which is a bit better than the 7/2 on blue square. 4-1 might be worth a flutter

I'm with Big Daddy B re Rios. He has been in with Artur Grigorian and Stevie Johnson and was not disgraced against either. Gave Hatton a bit to think about for a while too at light-welter. Cook is a good boxer but will struggle here without "home" support (though Hereford is close enough I suppose).

I've never seen Juan Diaz but I'd be very, very surprised if Lorcy comes close to beating him.

Lorcy is very underrated...and unlucky...he is a great fighter with great heart, skill, and good power...his main problems was that he never had a good manager nor trainer...He always had to go abroad or have to climb high ladders to get a title shot, and when he had finally gotten his title, he barely got 2 month to recover and train again or else he would be stripped...now Lorcy is with King and has had all the time to train good...Diaz is very unexperienced compared to Lorcy...Lorcy is a great body puncher and has got a very good jab and uppercut...look for Lorcy to earn a late TKO or UD with one or two KD...

Diaz has not a big punch, nor a big chin, he was down against Ubaldo Hernandez against whom he won a very close SD, and down again against unheraled Contreras Jr...Lorcy will knock him out

yes im french but i am not that biased i have a few fighters which i think are very good cause i have had the occasion to watch them fight a lot and therefore i know what they are worth! trust me Lorcy has balls !
Tiozzo is french and holds a belt...but i think he sucks and will get KOed as soon as he faces someone else than DM who is finished...

Tiozzo bout is still going or no? I dont see it listed and thought it was monday. I expect him to roll over Danny B if they do fight anyway.

that's why Lorcy MUST knock him out...still don't forget Lorcy is a Don King fighter now...Don King might not let one of his fighter get robbed

I agree - I don't necessarilly think Lorcy will win, but I think he has much more chance that a 7-1 outsider.

This makes it worth a bet.

I think that even Samuel Kebede was 6-1.....

My $5 on Lorcy. At +700 Lorcy is worth to bet.

well Lorcy lost on points...got cut badly in the 3rd and fought well until the end but wasnt enough...

Yes - it was definitely worth a bet at those odds, though I lost £15....it didn't expect Lorcy to win, but thought he his chances were greater than 7 to 1.
