Amir Khan's first bout since the Olympic final will be in Liverpool on December 3.
He's part of the England team to face America at Everton Park Sports Centre.

BBC show this plz or sky. sky used to show america v england fights. david haye was on a few of them.

They did say they would be showing multination amateur tournaments. I think this will be covered.

The big question now is of course, now Amir is a 'household name' how will he cope with the pressure of higher expectations from the fans and media etc.

I look forward to seeing him fight again.

which will probably kill the veiwing figures. stick it on the same night, live or delayed, build it up a bit then see the figures. Stick it hidden away on a sports programme on a saturday afternoon, when most folks are busy anyway and the figures will be pretty shit i reckon.

lets face facts, putting it on grandstand isnt going to grab the casual veiwer. its only really going to be folks like ourselves with an interest who will watch it.

If it is on Grandstand that means 40 minutes of coverage tops, possibley split into two 20 minute sections with annoying football and rugby results constantly flowing across the bottom of the screen.

Why not do a full hour on a Friday night? Few adverts to hype it up 'Olympic Hero returns to action' etc etc etc.

The casual viewer doesn't want to be grabbed. They want to watch shite like Pop Idol, not a bunch of Amateur boxers at an Everton sports centre....

It will only ever be watched by people like us anyway unfortunately.

There will be no renaissance fo British boxing just because of Amir Khan sadly...

So the majority of the viewers will be us lot and people who fall asleep drunk during Rossy and wake up dry mouthed with one arm in a cold curry and tell you the next day "I watched that Olympic kid on telly last night before i went to bed".

I suppose the ideal solution would be the full bill on Fridays nights and highlights on Saturday Grandstand.

And Natalie Imbruglia serves me drinks will I watch it.

Neither willl ever happan but I can dream.

The Liverpool match on Dec 3rd is one half of a England v USA battle. I believe the second match is to take place in London?

Look out for Frankie Gavin, who gets his first full England vest and will box in Amir Khan's absence. The young Brummie might not be quite the sensation that Khan is, but he is well worth keeping an eye on.
