Berchelt defends his WBC Super Featherweight title against the fella he stopped to win the belt in the FOTY from a couple of years ago, that was some scrap just an absolute toe to toe war with Berchelt finally overwhelming him in the 11th, I rate Berchelt highly, he loves a scrap, is strong and can whack but its fair to say the opposition since becoming champ have been tailor made for him, guys like Miura and Roman who are game but limited and Awuku who's poor in general

Vargas coming off a KO win over Salka but ive not seen him since he nearly ripped Smith's ear clean off, I think he'll be a bit shopworn for Berchelt who despite being in many a war has a bit more about him and has the ability to outbox guys before getting them out of there, Vargas is as game a fighter around but I don't think he'll be able to hang around as long as he did in the 1st fight, I'm sure Berchelt will allow him to have a little success because he too loves a scrap but I fancy Berchelt in around 6

Should be fun while it lasts though, these all Mexican clashes rarely disappoint

Berchelt should get him out of there again.

Good call from Vargas's corner to pull their man out after the 6th, although he was always fighting back and even landing, he was taking some amount of punishment along the way, his face was a mess from the 2nd and he was eating too many shots as he can only fight one way, Berchelt doesn't mind a toe to toe war either but he has something more abut him in his quality, shot selection and delivery, he was a bit dangerous with the low blows and was lucky not to have a point off but it didn't matter although he shipped some punches his own were much better, clean combinations landing flush Vargas another fighter like Hurd and Dogboe who has a chin too solid for his own good

Hopefully we see Berchelt in a unification next, he's a dangerous fighter
