I ask this question because this forum is way less active than in 2010 ? This forum is not active at all and most topics are repeatative. i remember moderators were blocking everyone back then. Probably lot of people left and never bothered to come back.

They tend to dictate what views are deemed acceptable.
If new members don't tow the line, they will be ignored etc.
Eventually new members give up
You end up with a core group of people who generally either agree with each other
Or have the same arguments ad infinitum

The process is expedited by heavy handed moderation
