What do you think of Jarett Hurd

Will he win against Williams tonight? Almost all of top 154 lbs names are with PBC. So if he can win tonight, they can make unification with Harrison/Charlo winner. Is he big name yet? Please discuss :)

I rate him very highly, 154lb is a weird division because these lads are basically middleweights dehydrating themselves - PBC should be making these unifications by end of 2019

Really like Hurd. Dont think he gets the same push as some other PBC fighters though for some reason. Id say he's one of the better ones as well.

He's really not that talented overall to me, just bigger than most of the division. His size/pressure eventually wears down most guys. Trout/Harrison fights were very close at the time of stoppage, as was the Lara fight he won. His resume is pretty non-existent after that.
I like Hurd and think he wears down and stops Williams tonight. I think he's a good fighter, but not a top P4P level guy, never will be.

Really enjoy the way he fights, very entertaining however that may come at a cost. If he keeps going the way he’s going my thoughts are he will burn out.

Best current 154 pounder. He should move up to 160 and then 168. He's too big for 154.
Anybody knows how much does he weighs on the fight night?

I think around 170 - 175. And i dont think he should move up, because he did not get top fights.

If I can answer to your question:
More or less: Angulo, Lara, Trout, Carlos Molina, Vanes, Kirkland, Ishe Smith, Bundrage.

I agree. Guys who have probably been at 154 their whole career, or majority even.
Guys that never seem to struggle or don't look too big e.g. Lara and Trout are good examples.

Maybe 185-190. Hurd is a 168 pounder boiling down to 154. He's a weight bully.
He could get Jermall, Dirrell, Jacobs, Quillin.

good question pal, one that instantly springs to mind is Trout and Lara (they look like lads who can't make WW but don't look massive at 154)
Is 154lb a division you keep tabs on?

he said he needed to lose 35 pounds to make weight for his last fight, so hes walking around between fights at around 190

that is crazy considering he eventually weighs in at 154 - some people are just freaks at the weight! (eventually will catch up)

Hurd seems to get stronger and better as the fight wears on. Tonight he faces a desperate J-Rock. This is a "can't miss" fight for the awesome boxrec.com addicts around here.

Of course. He's a smw fighting at 154 who balloons to 190 lbs.

Sometimes. It’s an underrated weight in my eyes. Kinda like how CW was until WBSS came about.
We do see top names fighting each other at 154 at times.

Very tough and determined fighter. Williams will be giving his all tonight. I expect this to be more competitive than Beecher/Vargas.

Hurd is a 7-1 favorite over Williams.
Berchelt is a lopsided 20-1 choice over Vargas.

Small bet on Williams wouldn't be foolish. Money is in the UFC tonight, usually is. Better matchups.
