I'm guessing he'll be another 5-10 lbs his next bout. His shoulders look huge.

You never know what people believe.

But boxers, especially at the championship level, routinely get tested for HIV.

It would seem that Wilder would have been flagged a long time ago.

And if he was HIV positive and at the stage where he was showing symptoms (weight loss) I doubt Wilder would have the strength any longer to fight at a world class level and remain a power puncher.

Wilder looks good. I just shaved off another round or two on my fight prediction guess for him to KO Breazeale.

Deontay Wilder’s ring weight for his bout against Tyson Fury was only 209lbs.

The Bronze Bomber is currently the heaviest he’s weighed since the Chris Arreola fight almost three years ago.

Deontay had gradually lost 20lbs of muscle over a 3½ year period, but it’s only taken him less than six months to regain most of it:

• Johann Duhaupas: 228.75lbs (26/09/2015)
• Artur Szpilka: 228.75lbs (16/01/2016)

The dramatic increase of Wilder’s weight is rather intriguing.

He either doesn’t rate Breazeale’s chances or he’s gained loads of muscle over an unnaturally short timeframe.

Only time will tell whether it’s the former or the latter.

The service I use had Wilder holding steady as a 7-1 favorite for several weeks.

In the past 24 hours, those odds have shot up to 10-1.

Weigh-in may have had an effect on the line. Wilder looking bigger and more solid. Breazeale appearing extra pudgy.

Glad to see Wilder with the extra weight!! He was too light for the Fury fight and stated his intention to add some for his next fight!!

I don't think he's done adding weight. I think we'll see him at 235 LBS before too long. I've heard his issue is simply not eating enough. The guy doesn't enjoy eating. An issue I've never had.
