Thurman last performance wasn't that good due too injury & long lay off.Thurman claim he train at the La Gym all by himself without no trainer for Lopez fight.

I gave Thurman a pass on that subpar performance against Lopez because he was out of action for so long. I have him a slight favorite over 40-year-old Pac. There is a prediction poll right now at Current Scene that has Thurman outvoting Pac by about 14-11. A few years ago Pac would be a heavy favorite but at 40 he has slowed down a bit. Nonetheless he handled Broner with ease in January & I see him as only a SLIGHT underdog to Thurman.

Pacquiao is still good, he's undefeated since Mayweather fight and he fought only good names: Bradley, Vargas, Horn, Matthysse, Broner, it's actually much better than what Thurman did in last 3 years (close fights with Garcia, Porter and Lopez)
Thurman is younger, bigger and stronger, if someone wins by KO it's him, but Pacquiao has a big chance of winning it on points (if the judges are fair)
50/50

I think he has more than just a chance... he just needs to start fast and not concede too many rounds against Pacman

He could win by running away for 12 rounds like he always does. It's sad to see a stink out merchant like Thurman get a fight like this.

Well, if Thurman is in his last fight's shape, he'll lose. But I guess, it was just some rust and now Thurman is free from it.

He has a chance yes. It could be a 50/50 fight.

Yes Keith is fighting a 40 year old man, Keith is like 32 coming off injury but was a solid champion, I would make it a 60/40 fight. favoring Keith in a fair fight.

He's fighting a 40 year old who he has every physical advantage over, and he's a top guy. You'd have to be a moron to think he has no chance.

Thurman is still a top welterweight even if he did perform like shit in his last fight.
He'll be up for and prepared for Pacquaio in a way that he wasn't for the Lopez fight.

Yeah that's a big factor that people can't overlook. Josesito was a "get back in the ring, and shake off the rust" fight. This is a legacy defining fight, and the most important of his career to date. He'll be as ready as he possibly can.

Yep. Now it is possible that the injuries he's suffered have permanently screwed him up but only time will tell with that.

Was Pacquiao not briefly talking about retiring due to an eye injury after his last bout? Did he not blame an injury similar to Keith's for his performance against Mayweather? He's 40. It's not like Manny isn't carrying a lot of old battle scars into the ring. I figure his injuries have taken more of a toll than Keith's. Keith's problem of late has seemed to be more of a case of his heart just ain't in it. But it'll be in it for this one, and I won't be surprised if he retires if he wins. Either retires or offers Manny a rematch, and doesn't want anything else. He clearly wants no part of Spence, and he might consider this his perfect opportunity to go out as a Champion with a big win. He's no dummy either. He doesn't have to box forever, and he knows this.

True.
Skills aside, Thurman would always struggle against someone like Spence who is a tremendous body puncher, because Thurman seems most vulnerable to the body to me.

Not so sure about that. He was off because of an injury. Who knows if he's even 100% from it and will never be the same. Plus all of the gaining weight between fights will catch up to him. When you enter an 8 week camp out of shape, you're more open to overtraining and getting injured.

Is one fight enough though? In the past, he's said he would need a couple of tune ups. If he looks at Pacquiao as his second tune up, he will be in a rude awakening.

I think this fight is being made at the perfect time for their to be the right amount of intrigue. A few years ago people probably would've figured Thurman wins this easy, but now with the injury and layoff and looking vulnerable in his last bout combined with Pac looking better of late, it's now seen as basically an even fight.
I lean toward Thurman ever so slightly to win a decision, but Pac winning a decision wouldn't shock me either. I'm expecting it to be close. Not sure if it'll be a Split Decision, but it'll be a close UD at best for the winner I'm thinking. I guess a KO isn't out of the question, but I don't really expect a KO either way.

Manny will win, but PBC is not famous for good scorecards. They'll give it to younger Thurman

I think Thurman's ability to move is overrated. I mean he's been seriously hurt by guys of Lopez and Collazo caliber. If Manny has anything left - and I say that because at 40 you can age overnight - he should more effectively manage Thurman's mobility.
Thurman also is not even close to the counter puncher JMM or Floyd is. Thurman is much more linear in his attack and he DOES try to go to the body from the outside. That's a recipe for knockdowns if it's not done correctly (not always from being hurt, just off balance)
If scoring/judging is fair I think Manny wins a decision. I can see Thurman winning controversially to set-up a fight with Porter-Spence winner.
Sad that none of these guys want Crawford. Danny Garcia is even fighting blown up LWs instead of the best WW in the division...

Keith definitely has a chance, but if he loses badly he may just become Keith “Once Upon a Time” Thurman.
Either way, I’m rooting for Pac. I’d like to see him get another big win before he retires. And I like how he’s just spreading money around the division getting less popular boxers paid.

The Pacquiao who took a physical battering from unheralded Horn 2 years ago isn't going to have a prayer against even a "poo Thurman."
Although Thurman only looked like poo in 1 round. Everyone seems to forget that he otherwise dominated the Lopez bout. Even after a 2 year injury layoff.
Thurman is the real deal. Only Spence beats him. Aged Pacquiao is just a nice payday and a glossy name to put on your resume.

battering is a bit of an exaggeration there lol, and horn took the biggest damage
