Calzaghe for the moment is number 1, Williams doesn't make the top ten at this moment. However, one win could see him move right up to probably 2.

Hatton, should he fight and win the IBF title (vs the Mitchell/Tszyu winner will be #1).

scott harrison by a mile on last years achievements. How is JC number one he has done fornicate all other than get careless and slow.
in fact on his last perfomrance JC would be at four behind harrison, hatton and Johnny Nelson.

It's tough to know what the reasoning is behind other peoples lists. Me, i always pick mine solely on who i think is the better fighter.

I'm not sure who i'd go for in a British p4p list at the moment, what with Calzaghe appearing to be on the slide. I wouldn't have Williams near the top though, and much as i like the guy, i'm not sure a victory over Vitali would boost him into the top three or four, despite the fact it would be a tremendous achievement.

Well, I tend to take into account their "true" positioning in world terms as one of the major factors. I had Eastman low in the rankings because I don't believe he deserves his high ranking and his best performance was probably a defeat.

However, should Williams beat Klitchko he would be in the top 3 in the world at Heavyweight and while he would be still below Calzaghe and Harrison in my book P4P, I think he would move into the top 3.

for me the two best british boxers are Nelson and Hatton. Both would rank much better worldwide if they would fight for the big belts.

Harrison for me by a long way...Kebede apart he is fighting the better opposition on a more regular basis than Calzaghe, Hatton, Eastman etc

I would rate Scott Harrison, Ricky Hatton and Johnny Nelson above Danny Williams at the moment. But if Williams beats Vitali I will reconsider his position of course.

pound for pound thing. I assumed that it meant, how well a fighter would fair if said fighter could fight any fighter at the same weight.

Therefore, even though Harrison has been fighting better opposistion, there is no way he would beat Calzaghe in hypothetical match up. He couldnt cope with Calzaghes speed and wouldnt have enough movement.

Also, I think Hatton would beat him But I think Nelson, is the best weve got, he just hasnt ever had the big fight to prove it.
