as Usyk is unproven at HW and probably just not quite big enough.
hence the current sparring injury
Yesterday, Ruiz was unproven at HW.

Ruiz Jr. showed that he can time his opponents’ shots to punish them with his own lightning-fast combinations, which is the reason why AJ was reluctant to let his hands go (resulting in a reduced work-rate). The Brit was being punished almost every time he threw a punch.
Ruiz was also able to close the distance with his lance-like straight right hand thrown from the outside (much akin to the effectiveness of Pacquiao’s equivalent shot against De La Hoya).
These are aspects of Ruiz Jr’s fighting style that should not be underestimated.
However, Andy’s main flaw is his lack of head movement, which is something the Ukraine could exploit.
Usyk can win this bout by outboxing and outworking the Mexican, but we don’t know if Oleksandr’s shots are effective in the heavier weight class and nor do we know if he is resilient enough to take the sort of blows AJ had to endure last night.
My gut instinct tells me that Usyk should win this bout, but I remain unconvinced until I’ve seen him compete in his new weight class.

I'm not at all sold on the idea that Usyk is going to be this badass heavyweight people assume. He's already showing signs of wear and tear with injuries in the gym making this transition.

Im going with Ruiz, after winning the belts and shocking everybody.
An easy fight, nah, Usyk is a different animal then AJ so best is to say that Ruiz will get the better of the infighting and not be outworked by Usyk. And pick his spots aganist this him. I do think that Ruiz speed, soild combos and counters with soild fundamentals will give Usyk problems.
But then again Usyk is Usyk.
Ruiz by close MD.

According to who? You?
Ruiz JR had a very competitive fight against Joshua Parker un Australia and he showed skiills.
The only one they is unproven at HW is Usyk .
People here overrates a lot guys from East Europe
Ruiz JR took the best punches of Joshua, he Will destroy Usyk and he needs only a good shot to do.
But the fact is that Usyk does not deserve a fight with Ruiz
Ruiz has better rivals and plans, for example a rematch with Anthony

Let us be honest, before AJ, Ruiz faced only one worthy opponent - Parker. This is a fact.
I am EE (if I could choose, I would be born on the other place, surely) but this fact has nothing to do with my boxing preferences.
Usyk is unproven at HW, of course, but he was among the most dominant champions at CW (and p4p).

Ruiz rose to the occasion all right, but I think his stock is too high now. He never looked particularly spectacular before. I think he might be a one fight wonder. He compensated for his short arms by lunging in on Joshua. That won't work with Usyk.

He wasn't 'lunging' he was countering perfectly. He presented a small target throughout the fight. It was a great performance.

No argument that it was a great performance and countering and all but he was jumping in, which is the one thing I learned in boxing that actually stuck in my head*, also to compensate for my relatively short arms, step in on jabs, and he was jumping in. Here's an example, watch him at about 2:00
* Wherever i go i learn only one thing. In college I learned only one thing, same in art school, same on my job, same with girls.

"Jumping" in and "lunging" in are two different things. Ruiz waited for AJ to throw and immediately countered time and time again. No lunging. Ok boyo?
