Weed is prohibited during training but not when not in training.
I don't understand it either.

Some fighters have had wins thrown out for positive marijuana tests, like Mike Tyson and Chris Arreola,

This is not good at all. Cannabis is a gateway drug.

Wilder’s last outing is still regarded as a ND. The test sample itself was taken a few hours before Marsellos’ bout against Sanchez.

So he still breached the rules of VADA and WADA, but not the rules upheld by the State of Texas (as per the TDLR), which is the only thing that matters.

If Wilder tested positive for recreational drugs during the competition period, which he clearly did, then he would have been suspended if the drug testing been administered by WADA, VADA or any organisation that adopts the same protocols.

Jarrell Miller couldn’t be suspended for failing multiple drug tests, since he didn’t have a license to box in New York.

So I’m assuming that a similar situation applies to Marsellos Wilder, because he can’t be suspended, due to the fact the State of Texas doesn’t consider recreational drugs as banned substances, regardless the time of their consumption, or the fact the very same substances are prohibited in other US states.

Had the cruiserweight been VADA tested according to the NYSAC rules, then I reckon he would have been suspended.

This whole drug testing business - headquartered in Mafia Vegas of all places! - is so unfair and partisan and unequally administered and corrupt that I'd rather see no testing at all.

This is just another example of Americans spreading fake news around boxing. Wilder and his family their whole life is one massive pile of lies. Wilder still hasn't ever been a real champion and has never fougth one either, his carreer consisted of lies, he's still running from everyone who might be remotely close near competative.
