Not so long ago, only one poster voted for him to be # 15 HW (Dagilechia's thread).
When he faced Dimitrenko two months ago, the stadium has been half-empty.
Where is his position right now ?

BTW, I consider Fury and Usyk will be the most dangerous opponents for him, because of theirs respective styles.

#3.

Prior to Joshua-Ruiz I rated the first three places like that:

1. Fury
2. Joshua
3. Wilder

Now I have it like that:

1. Fury
2. Wilder
3. Ruiz

With winning Joshua and conquering all his belts Ruiz certainly should be above AJ. But still he has overall lesser resume, than Fury and Wilder.

However, I won't be strictly against rating him #2, because his Joshua win was bigger, than any Wilder's win, and Wilder should have been with no belts right now, cause he lost to The Gypsy King.

Hard to say. He looked like Rocky Marciano against Joshua, but knocking around the pros for over ten years, never fighting any top guys other that his more recent fight against Parker which he (arguably) lost, he looked like just another Mexican American heavyweight with a padded record, like a slightly better version of David Rodriguez - remember him? - 35-0 with 35 KO's I think it was - playing basically to Mexican-American audiences.

The one fight puts him at number three for me. Winning the rematch probably leaves him there. Fury/Wilder 1a and 1b.

Without taking belts into consideration I’d say he’s the 4th best HW. Behind Fury, Wilder and yes.....Dylian Whyte. If we see more of Ruiz at this level of course I’d bump him up. Whyte I’ve been impressed with of late. In my mind he’s the dark horse of the division.

Whyte makes a lot of noise, but is becoming overrated. The best of the second tier.

I think he’s proven himself a number of times now. He’s very deserving of a shot. If anything I thought he was underrated. He’s proven himself to be durable following the AJ fight. He can take it and dish it out. Not a fabulous looking heavyweight but that tough grind. He’s dangerous.

Don't get me wrong, he's fought his way to a shot. I just don't look at him as any big threat to the top of the hw heap.
