Guido Vianello made an impressive Vegas debut Saturday.

The unbeaten 2016 Olympian from Italy knocked down Keenan Hickman three times in the second round and won their bout by technical knockout at 2:22 of that period. Referee Tony Weeks stopped their scheduled six-rounder as soon as Hickman hit the canvas a third time on the Tyson Fury-Tom Schwarz undercard at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The 6-feet-6, 238-pound Vianello has knocked out each of the four foes he has faced since he turned pro December 8 in New York. Hickman (6-4-1, 2 KOs), of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, lost by knockout or technical knockout for the third time in his past four fights.

Just before the midway point of the second round, a right hand by Vianello knocked Hickman into the ropes, before another right by Vianello knocked him to the canvas. Hickman got up, but Vinanello floored him about 30 seconds later with another right hand.

Hickman reached his feet again and was determined to continue. Vianello wasted no time in leveling him with another right hand that made Weeks wave an immediate end to their fight.

Vianello unloaded an array of head and body shots on Hickman throughout the first round. He wobbled Hickman with a right hand just before the first round ended.

Yes.

Did you see that Juan Torres in the opening bout?

Apparently the Andy Ruiz look is suddenly fashionable.

Barrera has been mind fucked by Ward. He's employing the same tactics that Ward had, in terms of hitting and holding however this ref in not allowing it. That's the power of a ref and why I believe ward was reluctant to fight on anything but his own terms. This ref would have fouled ward just like he will most likely foul Barrera.

Wow I was just about to write that Barrera is finished as a top 10 competitor at age 37 however in the last 20 seconds he clipped Hard. This fights up for grabs but its ridiculously messy.

It really only worked for Ruiz in a big way that one time, and I suspect it only will that one time. We shall see though.

Isaac Lowe consistently out-boxed Duarn Vue on Saturday.

The undefeated Lowe’s skill and movement were too much for Vue, who was the aggressor throughout their bout, yet had difficulty landing clean punches. England’s Lowe won their 10-round featherweight fight on all three scorecards to improve to 18-0-3 on the Tyson Fury-Tom Schwarz undercard at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Lowe – who’s handled by Fury’s trainer, Ben Davison – won by scores of 99-91 (Glenn Trowbridge), 98-92 (Robert Hoyle) and 97-93 (Steve Weisfeld).

The 33-year-old Vue, of Madison, Wisconsin, lost for just the second time in five years as a pro (14-2-2, 2 KOs). Vue has not been knocked out and Lowe only has knocked out six of his 21 pro opponents.

Lowe switched from his conventional stance to southpaw at times, and he had success from each stance. He often hit Vue with right hands and jabs, then quickly got out of Vue’s punching range.

Vue bled badly from his left ear by the time the eighth round began. That didn’t slow Vue’s output, but he still had trouble catching up to the crafty Lowe for the remainder of their fight.

Jesse Hart (26-2, 21 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Sullivan Barrera (22-3, 14 KOs).

The scores were 99-90, 96-93 and 97-92.
Hart was making his debut in the light heavyweight division, after losing a twelve round decision to then WBO world champion Gilberto Ramirez at super middleweight.

The action was close in the early going, but was Hart landing the much harder punches. In the second round, both were landing some heavy punches at close range. Hart appeared to be doing more damage, but Barrera was holding his own.
