Nothing worse than Kabayel. Winner of Whyte/Rivas would be perfect.

As Wilder fights Ortiz for the WBC belt, Fury should fight Whyte-Rivas winner in the very last of all final WBC eliminators.

This would be fine, I mean the both options.

Depends on that stable the espn has and Top Rank, but making a meaningfull fight would be good for him. Otherwise another showcase bout ain't good enough. Maybe they will go for Otto Wallin, who is big but skillwise can't stand up against Fury. Trying to get hold on who fights where and... just hoping for something better then Schwarz who did his best but should have gone for the EBU then getting beaten up badly.

Whyte or Rivas sounds good.

Pulev is co-promoted by Bob Arum. That should be a realistic option, surely.

That would be an absolute snore-fest.

Probably will be someone with the same credentials as Schwarz.

Glossy record. World ranking. Can't fight.

Arum is pretty good at uncovering those types.

OK, he will not face, surely, these fighters : Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz, Usyk and Ruiz.

This is my short list (not realistic, likely) of Fury's opponents which I would be glad to see :

1. Whyte/Rivas winner
2. Parker
3. Povetkin
4. Pulev
5. Kabayal

I'm not saying I'd want to watch it.

Purely talking about levels, and what should be easy to make. I'm not sure who would make an exciting fight with Fury though, if I'm honest. I can't see Fury vs Whyte happening, unless it's in the UK. It also has the potential to be a repeat of Fury vs Chisora 2. Whyte is better than that, but surely Fury just keeps him out of range then ties him up whenever he gets in close.

LOL! No, ,you didn't! Fury won't take any risks until he rematches Wilder.

Don't be silly it'll be an eliminator but not the final eliminator. If Whyte gets past Rivas and then beats Fury, the WBC have ordained that he gets a shot at Wilder if he can just win a final eliminator against their pre-selected opponent known as M1 Abrams whom they've been keeping tracks on (pun very much intended ;-) )

Not gonna be Pulev, too boring.
Not gonna be anyone too good.

Someone they can hype as ESPN keeps Fury seen during college football time in early October...

My prediction is...Zhilei Zhang

Pulev is probably one of the better options as far as a contender with a pulse, but not overly dangerous goes. I imagine they'll go softer than that for Fury.

Speaking of Persoon. Seeing as how you don't really get high level talents in Women's Boxing all that often, and her fight with Katie Taylor was so close, and controversial. Those 2 should fight at least 2 more times, and it shouldn't always be in Taylor's backyard either.

Talented Women boxers rarely have any real competition. These two are likely the best competition either is ever going to have, might as well make the most of it.

Pulev might just be ripe for destruction. He saw off Hughie without really getting out of second gear but at one point Hughie connected and Pulev looked in serious bother. Hughie stood off and failed to press his advantage.

If Tyson sets himself to throw heavy leather I think he can get Pulev out of there and look terrific in the process. Pulev isn't a big puncher so Fury could afford to take liberties in terms of defence.

Not a bad shout that. The heavyweight champion of China. The toughest of 1,380,000,000 Chinese. Former Olympian and quarter-finalist (IIRC), former opponent of Anthony Joshua, undefeated as a professional.

You can just hear Arum, Warren, and Fury making him sound like a family-size Bruce Lee can't you ?

The fight was at MSG, hardly Taylor's backyard. Even London isn't home territory for an Irish lass from Bray. I do agree with you there has to be a rematch (maybe two) but in fairness to Katie she said to Eddie that they have to do it again, when Eddie conceded when she asked him, that a lot of people had the Flemish fighter winning. (according to Hearn's account anyway)

Persoon was terrific. I'm so used to seeing Katie breeze past her opponent, I didn't suspect any woman in her weight-class was likely to able to give her a fight worthy of the description. Boy was I wrong about that !

I don't think they can sell another gimme. But ya never know.
It will depend on the numbers back from his last fight. If enough dipsticks bought it, then why not?
