Absolutely no desire to see Leapai fight again, and given his recent fights he has nothing left to offer...

He has had 3 fights in 4 years. Izonritei and Paeto dont exactly scream quality opposition. The 3 fights before that where he faced better opponents, he lost.
Sure he has a chance, but I would say his best days are truly behind him.

Exactly, he had an unfortunate TD against Izonritzei before stopping him convincingly in the rematch but the level of opposition is far below Parker. Plus he hasn’t fought for more than a year...

we all know who he has fought and the result but if he is fit enough then he has a fair chance imo.
parker's corner will be nervous if alex starts to land some bombs early.

You would think with Parker’s better quality of opponents, he would win this one comfortably. But Alex will always be a punchers chance regardless who he fights.

A long way to travel for both, when this fight, which is really of no consequence could have been held locally in New Zealand.
Joseph is no doubt looking to show his credentials with a quick win to entice the impress the overseas promoters, and Alex, the sacrificial lamb, is hoping his fellow Samoan doesn't go too hard on him.

Agree

Leapai has nothing left at all, it’s one of the more shocking mismatches of recent times

how do u know leapai has nothing left to offer if u haven't seen him, lol?
i agree its disappointing that he doesn't have much recent activity against better opposition before facing someone like parker but its not like we have seen him fight lately and perform badly to make judgement really.
even with good recent wins on his resume it was going to be a tough fight vs parker too but when u have a guy as tough as alex who can ko u out of the ring he will always have a chance of causing an upset.
hopefully alex can land something big early to make it interesting.
what a shame this wasn't made 4 or 5 years ago.

Parker versus Leapai came about as Eric Molina was initially slated to fight Parker but Molina pulled out of the bout.
Parker is the only man to have defeated present multi-time titlist Andy Ruiz Jr. Ruiz has indicated he wants to avenge his lone career loss to Parker should Andy defeat Anthony Joshua in the rematch.
The bout is a formality for Parker and Leapai is delusional in believing he could possibly spoil the party along the lines of the relatively recent Ruiz. versus Joshua massive upset win.

Both the profiles for Billy Dib and his opponent, Amir Khan are prefixed with “suspended by New York State Athletic Commission indefinitely”.
A media report mentions that the Dibster recognises the risk of climbing two divisions to fight former welterweight champion Amir Khan next month, but is adamant he can be competitive. Kahn was stopped in his last fight by American superstar Terence Crawford, who was defending the WBO welterweight title he claimed from Jeff Horn last year.
Dib's last bout back in April was at lightweight against a fighter ranked 1,498th in the world. Most of his professional fights have been at featherweight, including two unsuccessful cracks at super featherweight world title.
As they say in the classics, “a good big man will always beat a good little man”, so let's hope that Dib doesn’t receive too much damage in what looks like a miss-match.

Joshua not doing himself any good here.
Can't see him in the mix on this performance although Leapai is a tough cookie

The URL says it all, in what was a disappointing night for Parker, who used Leapai as a punching bag but never put him away:

I would like to know who miraculously cured Alex Leapai's eyes and how?
Previous medical opinion was if Leapai fought again he risked permanent blindness and that is precisely what bought about his retirement a few years ago.
Noel Thornberry obviously had great faith in the miracle eye cure because he just kept sending Leapai out round after round for Parker to continue with the beat down. Thankfully the referee had more concerned for his welfare.
