Jermall Charlo vs Brandon Adams

Middleweight action live on ITV4 in the small hours of sat/sun this weekend, unbeaten former World Super Welterweight champ Charlo takes on Contender winner Adams in a 12 rounder, for anyone like me who still cant tell the Charlo twins apart Jermall is the one who KO'd Bundrage to win the IBF and made defences against Trout and Julian Williams and gave up the belt a while ago to campaign at 160, I'm pretty sure he was regarded as the better Charlo although I know of lot of people thought he lost to Korobov last time out

I watched the Contender and Adams deserved the win and he had the toughest road, had wins over Brunson and Khytrov and then schooled Mosley Jr in the final, its funny with Adams I only ever seem to see him in tournements, I watched in 2 Boxcino's on ESPN where he suffered his only 2 losses, lost a decision to Monroe Jr in the final of the Middleweight version then stopped in 2 rounds of the final at Super Welter the following year from John Thompson

I rate Adams he's got a big heart and wont be overawed and he'll put it on Charlo but I expect Charlo to be a level above and he should stop Adams

Hadn't noticed this was on ITV4, cheers. Hope Adams gives a good account of himself in this one, came across really well on The Contender & was the standout fighter in the competition comfortably.

Not as poor as Andrade/Sulecki but still a boring fight and too one sided, I gave Adams a share of the 12th and that was it, it was a brave effort from him he done a good job of getting up close and smothering a lot of Charlo's work and not allowing him the room to get his longer punches off, Adams also landed some nice single shots, especially the lead left hook which nailed Charlo flush on a couple of occasions, all in all though it was a controlled win from Charlo who kept Adams under control with the jab and right hand, he was able to unload on Adams a few times as well and looked like he may be getting to him but Adams done a good job of making him miss when it mattered

Comfortable win in the end for Charlo but another guy like Andrade who's not as good as I thought he once was

I gave Adams the first round. Had he fought GGG instead, he would have been stopped but been paid more than this probably.

Adams showed a good chin, I'll give him that! Took a lot of decent shots clean with seemingly not much effect (Charlo had injured his hand though early so that may have helped), one sided fight though as expected.

You reckon he would have gone a few rounds with GGG?

After 2 rounds, GGG would probably stop showing respect and go for a kkill.

GGG would have pressed the action more I'm sure, would expect him to get a stoppage against Adams definitely.
